OSI Laser Diode’s SCW and LCW Series of high-power, single mode (SM, SCW Series) or multi mode (MM, LCW Series) laser modules are designed to meet the specific performance demands of the optical test equipment marketplace.
The high peak optical power LCW / SCW Series laser chips are based on a multiple quantum well structure fabricated by an MOCVD technology and processed into a ridge wave guide device structure. This series’ devices serve 1064 nm through 1650 nm wavelengths and are available in RoHS compliant, fully hermetic laser-welded 2 or 3 pin coaxial, 3 pin TO56 or 14 pin DIP/Butterfly packages.
These packaged lasers can include both TEC and temperature sensing thermistors as well as back facet monitors for superior wavelength stability over a wide temperature range. Standard fiber length for SMF- or MMF-coupled versions is 1 m. Custom packaging and E-O/Environmental screening to Military or Telecordia standards are available.
Excellent output power stability and constant wavelength are features that make OSI LaserDiode’s SCW/LCW Series 1310/1550 nm laser modules ideal for applications such as telecom/datacom and test instrumentation. This series’ devices comprise a Fabry-Perot (F/P) laser chip and a single mode optical fiber (SMF) that are aligned in LDI’s high stability, temperature controlled, low reflection, 14-pin dual-in-line module, with or without TEC and temperature sensing thermistor.
SCW Series 180 mW pulsed high-power, SMF-coupled laser modules are designed to meet the performance demands of the optical test equipment marketplace.
