CLPS Diode Laser Power Supplies

Product information "CLPS Diode Laser Power Supplies"

For CHROMALASE II and FiberTec II Lasers; Output Current LD 2.5 A; Output Current TEC 2.0 A; Supply Voltage 100 to 240 VAC

With its CLPS series, Fibotec Fiberoptics provides dedicated power supplies for Blue Sky Research’s CHROMALASE II™ and FiberTec II™ series of diode laser modules. The users can configure the power supply with an optional DB9-cable for the operation of FiberTec II lasers at their own PCB.

The CLPS series of diode laser power supplies allows the operation of the CHROMALASE II and FiberTec II series from standard power sockets with 100 to 240 VAC and frequencies from 50 to 60 Hz.

With dimensions of 170 x 103 x 56 mm, the CLPS series provides up to 2.5 A of current for laser diode and TEC. Operation of the laser (12, 5 or 6.5 VDC dependent on CHROMALASE II, respectively FiberTEC II version) is possible with a current of up to 2.5 A. The TEC current (3.3 V) – if needed by the laser – is limited to 2.0 A, and the sum of currents cannot exceed 2.5 A.

The BNC-modulation input gives access to the modulation option of CHROMALASE II and FiberTEC II lasers.

Adhesives for Fiber Array Assemblies

Fiber arrays are used for the input and output of optical waveguide devices. NTT-AT’s AT3925M, AT9390, AT9968, AT3727E and AT3728E epoxy-based optical adhesives are used for fixing the v-grooves and have realized price reductions while enhancing moisture resistance compared to conventional products. These adhesives can be polished after assembly. NTT-AT’s AT9575M (epoxy) and AT8105 (acrylate) adhesives for optical fiber fixing have gained popularity for their good workability as non-fluid adhesives. NTT-AT has executed durability tests that have shown no peeling of a fiber array after 2,000 hours at +85 °C and 85% of humidity. With viscosities that are appropriate for the usage location, the adhesives for fiber array assemblies are easy to use. While the adhesives for fixing v-grooves show fluidity, the optical fiber fixing adhesives’ consistency is that of a paste, suitable for protecting the fiber.
