Evaluation Boards for Easy Set-up and Operation of Laser Diode Drivers and TEC Drivers; 51 x 53 x 11 mm to 114 x 140 x 70 mm; Drivers Not Included Wavelength Electronics provides a wide range of evaluation boards – helping engineers to quickly set up, operate and familiarize with Wavelength Electronics’ various series of laser drivers and TEC drivers. Featuring onboard switches, connectors, trimpots and other components, you can easily and quickly connect power supply and load, set parameters like current range, proportional gain or other setpoints and monitor values like the actual temperature – ideal for prototyping your control system and making it easier to integrate your final design. Use the HTCEVALPCB evaluation board to rapidly prototype a complete temperature control system based on the HTC series of TEC drivers (HTCxxoo-62 variants, not included). This evaluation board includes the HTCHTSK heat sink and measures 107 x 112 x 32 mm with HTC and heatsink installed. DVM cable ready test points monitor the setpoint and actual temperature. The LDDEVALP evaluation board supports the LDD P series of laser diode drivers (not included). Two jumpers set up for Type A, B, or C laser diodes. A power LED indicates when power is connected to the board. A transzorb protects against over-voltage. A cable for TO-3 laser diodes is available. Use the PIDEVALPCB evaluation board to rapidly prototype a complete temperature control system based on the PID1500 series of TEC drivers (not included). This evaluation board measures 61 x 112 x 46 mm with the PID1500 TEC driver installed. DVM cable ready test points monitor the setpoint and actual temperature. The PLDEVALPCB is an evaluation board for the PLD series of laser diode drivers (up to the PLD6500 model, driver not included), simplifying benchtop operation of the PCB mount drivers and reducing prototyping time. This evaluation board measures 57 x 57 x 53 mm with WTC32ND and full heatsink kit installed. Onboard switches, connectors and trimpots make configuration and operation simple. Configurable jumpers and switches optimize use of the sensor signal. An onboard fan connection can power a WXC30x fan attached to a WHS302 heat sink. When controlling laser diode temperature, the LDMOUNT-5A is available for simple connections between the WTC32ND and a 14-pin butterfly laser diode. The WTCPEVAL Board contains all the external components necessary to evaluate and configure the WTCP5V5A series of TEC drivers (not included). Once operation is understood with the evaluation board, the WTCP can be seamlessly transferred to the WTCP-OEM board (see below). This evaluation board measures 102 x 114 x 32 mm. Test points are provided on the evaluation board so that essential signals can be monitored during the WTCP configuration process. Connectors for power supply and TEC are also provided. The WTCPOEM board condenses the adjustable functions of the WTCPEVAL board for evaluating the WTCP-5V5A series of TEC drivers (not included) into a compact, fixed-value board, perfect for system integration. At 51 x 53 x 11 mm, this board includes a monitor/output connector, either a setpoint trimpot for a variable setpoint or a resistor pair for a fixed setpoint as well as resistors to set cooling and heating limits and all the tuning parameters. Heatsinks For Wavelength Electronics Laser Diode Drivers and TEC Drivers; 31 x 31 x 12 mm to 121 x 252 x 45 mm; Aluminium; 0.58 °C/W to 5.6 °C/W A range of various heatsinks is available, suitable for selected Wavelength Electronics laser diode drivers and/or TEC drivers. MULTI-HTSK heatsinks are designed to support a wide range of Wavelength products during product evaluation. MULTI-HSK heatsinks are robustly designed with an 18 W capacity without airflow and a 40 W capacity with airflow. Mounting hardware and one packet of thermal paste are included. With dimensions of 102 x 152 x 29 mm and a natural convection thermal resistance of 1.57 °C/W (per 15 cm), MULTI-HTSK heatsinks are made from black anodized aluminium and support the following Wavelength Electronics series or drivers: LDTC, LDTC2/2, MPL (not MPL7500), PLD5K-CH, PTCxK-CH (not PTC10K-CH/SL), RHM5K-CH. MULTI-HTSK-HI heatsinks for 10 A driver models have mounting holes to support the PLD10K-CH, PLD12.5K-CH, or PTC10K-CH laser diode drivers or TEC drivers. MULTI-HTSK-HI heatsinks are robustly designed with over 20 W capacity without airflow and over 60 W capacity with airflow. Mounting hardware and one packet of thermal paste are included. MULTI-HTSK-HI heatsinks are made from black anodized aluminium with dimensions of 121 x 152 x 45 mm and feature a natural convection thermal resistance of 0.58 °C/W (per 15 cm). The HTSK-BRKT heatsink mounting bracket allows you mount the MULTI-HTSK and MULTI-HTSK-HI heatsinks vertically on your optical bench in order to improve airflow and help organize your work space. HTCHTSK aluminium heatsinks are tapped with two 4-40 holes to match the heatspreader of the HTC TEC drivers series. HTCHTSK heatsinks feature dimensions of 38 x 111 x 16 mm and a natural convection thermal resistance of 5.6 °C/W (per 7.6 cm). Two 4-40 x 0.375″ screws are included. WHS302 aluminium heatsinks are designed for use with the WTCP5V5A, WTC3243 or WHY5640 TEC driver series and the WLD3343 laser diode driver series, allowing them to operate at much higher power. With dimensions of 31 x 31 x 12 mm, these high performance heatsinks are specifically designed to fit the Wxx style packages. The fin configuration of the WHS302 heatsinks allows the units to be mounted in almost any position without affecting heat dissipation. An optional WXC30x fan may be installed on the heatsink for additional cooling.

Replacement for Connectors to Override the Interlocks for Quick Start-up Operation with the LDTC LAB and QCL LAB Series; One BNC 50 Ω Terminator Plus One 9-pin / Two 15-pin DSUB Connectors The LDTC INTLK KIT is used with Wavelength Electronics' LDTC LAB series of laser diode drivers and TEC drivers to override the interlocks for quick start-up operation. Mount for 14-pin Butterfly Laser Diodes; Type 1 & Type 2 Butterfly Packages Supported; ZIF Socket; Max. LD Current 5 A Designed for 14-pin butterfly laser diodes with internal thermistors and thermoelectric coolers (TEC), Wavelength Electronics’ LDMOUNT-5A series are laser diode mounts with integrated heat sinking and simple connections between the drivers and the diode laser. AC/DC Power Supplies for Laser Drivers & TEC Drivers; Input Voltage 90 (100) to 240 (264) VAC; Output Voltage 5 to 24 VDC; 18 to 132 W; Termination 2.1, 2.5 mm Ø, Open-ended One of the most important components affecting noise performance is the power supply used to power the laser driver. A linear supply will offer lower noise, but a much larger size and lower efficiency. For their laser diode, QCL laser and TEC driver series, Wavelength Electronics offers the PWRPAK series of low noise switched power supplies with voltages ranging from 5 to 24 V and currents ranging from 2 to 13 A. These power supplies operate off 90 to 264 VAC or 100 to 240 VAC with 47 to 63 Hz: PWRPAK-5V drives up to 8 A at 5 VDC PWRPAK-13A-5V drives up to 13 A at 5 VDC. The end is unterminated for use with the LD10CHA, LD15CHA, PLD12.5K-CH, PLD10K-CH or PTC10K-CH. It can power the PLD12500 or PLD10000 when used with the PLD10EV evaluation board or the PTC10000 when used with the PTCEVALPCB. PWRPAK-7V drives up to 3.0 A at 7.2 VDC PWRPAK-9V drives up to 3 A at 9 VDC PWRPAK-12V drives up to 2.5 A at 12 VDC PWRPAK-11A-12V drives up to 11 A at 12 VDC. The end is unterminated for use with the LD10CHA, PLD12.5K-CH, PLD10K-CH, or PTC10K-CH. It can power the PLD12500 or PLD10000 when used with the PLD10EV evaluation board or the PTC10000 when used with the PTCEVALPCB. PWRPAK-24V drives up to 2 A at 24 VDC. It has been tested with Wavelength Electronics’ QCL OEM and QCL OEM(+) series of low noise quantum cascade laser drivers. A wiring kit is available to simplify setup. PWRPAK-16A-5V drives up to 16 A at 5V with 80% efficiency. This low noise switched power supply for the LD15CHA and LD10CHA series of laser diode drivers offers enough current and voltage to operate the LD15CHA series in single supply operation. It has a 5 V output to power the control electronics and provide up to 3 V to the laser. The 16 A current output covers the entire current range of LDxCHA series’ models. An additional wiring kit makes connections easy.
