Ushio Europe’s custom-made chip technologies and packaging technologies allow strong collaboration and support in product development with the customer from start to finish. Within the Epitex Series, Ushio Europe offers a wide range of high-quality LED chip products. They are available in different intensities and sizes, suitable for each and any application. It is also possible to produce LED chips to customer specifications, so if the chip you need is not part of our selection, please contact the AMS Technologies LED experts – we’ll be happy to help you. Customers can choose a suitable wavelength product for the application from Ushio Europe’s Epitex Series product range, which is available every 20 nm (below 1000 nm) and every 100 nm (over 1000 nm). Epitex Series single-chip LEDs are available as mold types with diameters of 3 mm, 4 mm or 5 mm. but also in surface mount packages (SMT). The SMT family of surface mount type (TOP) LEDs with wavelengths from 375 nm to 1650 nm features a 3.5 mm x 2.8 mm package, either as flat type or with epoxy or silicone resin lens. Ushio Europe’s SMBB family comprises high-power TOP LEDs with wavelengths from 365 nm to 1650 nm in a 5 mm x 5 mm package, either as flat type or with -02, -03 or -05 lens. The EDC family of surface mount type high-power TOP LEDs with wavelengths from 365 nm to 1650 nm features a 3.5 mm x 3.5 mm ceramics package with standard type or S5 lens. Ushio Europe’s D-Series comprises SWIR Chip LEDs with wavelengths from 1050 nm to 1750 nm and a chip side length of 350 µm.
