OS Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 198-264 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 200-450 kVDC; Max. Power 2,000 W; Efficiency 80%; Voltage Regulation <0.005%; Current Regulation <0.1% XP Glassman’s OS Series of high voltage AC/DC power supplies are sophisticated 2 kW open stack, power supplies with extremely low ripple and noise. They are air insulated fast response units with tight regulation. OS Series power supplies are designed to meet the growing demands from both users and electric utilities for switching supplies with excellent input power factors that draw harmonic currents below those specified in EN61000-3-2. A range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 200 kVDC through 0 to 450 kVDC. OS Series models consist of a rack-style driver chassis, a high voltage stack assembly and a remote-control unit. The driver chassis is provided in a cabinet with 214.1 mm height x 573 mm depth, onto which the high voltage stack is mounted. The dimensions of the stack vary with the output voltage rating and are given in the specifications in the downloadable datasheet. The rack-mountable remote control provides all interface functions and is connected to the driver chassis with the 7.6 m long cables provided. The remote-control unit size is 132.5 mm height x 127 mm depth. Active correction circuitry (power factor correction, PFC) achieves an input line current harmonic content well below the maximum specified in EN61000-3-2. The OS series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. No oil or encapsulation is used which would impede serviceability or increase weight. Internal circuitry constantly senses and integrates arcs that occur over a given time. In the event a system or load arcing problem develops and exceeds factory-set parameters, the power supply will cycle off in an attempt to clear the fault and then automatically restart after a preset “off dwell time”. The OS Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to help extinguish the arc. Typically, ripple is less than 0.05% peak-to-peak of rated voltage at full load. Off-the-line pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides high efficiency and a reduced parts count for improved reliability. The OS Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current. Automatic crossover from constant-voltage to constant-current regulation provides protection against overloads, arcs and short circuits. A current-trip feature may be substituted for constant-current operation by a remote-control chassis rear panel selector switch. Standard accessories for the KT Series include a detachable 2,4 m shielded high voltage coaxial output cable, line cord, null modem cable and USB cable. The OS Series supplies are fully compliant with the following European directives: EN61010/ IEC61010, Safety EN61000-6-4, Conducted and Radiated Emissions EN61000-6-2:2005, Conducted and Radiated Immunity 2011/65/EU, Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Key Features: Open Stack High Voltage Rack-mountable Remote-control Panel Air Insulated Maximum Output Power: 2000 W Maximum Output Voltage: 200 to 450 kVDC Maximum Output Current: 3 to 10 mA Low Ripple: 100 to 225 Vpp High Frequency Ripple, 10 to 22.5 Vpp Line Frequency Ripple Tight Regulation Voltage Regulation: <0.005% for Specified Line and Load Variations Current Regulation: <±0.005% for Specified Line Variations and 0.1% From Short Circuit to Rated Voltage at Any Load Condition Constant Voltage/Constant Current Operation Arc Quench & Arc Count Front Panel 10-turn Potentiometer and 0 to 10 V Remote Control Input Voltage: 198 to 264 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz, Single Phase Efficiency: 80% Typical at Full Load, Power Factor >0.995 Output Voltage Accuracy: 0.5% of Setting + 0.2% of Rated Maximum Stored Energy: 70 to 150 J Voltage Monitor: 0 to +10 VDC Signal for 0 to Rated Voltage Current Monitor: 0 to +10 VDC Signal for 0 to Rated Current Stability: 0.01%/h After 0.5 h Warm-up, 0.05% per 8 h Protection: Against All Overload Conditions, Including Arcs and Short Circuits Signals Provided on the Remote User Interface Terminal Strip: Safety Interlock, Voltage & Current Program/Monitor, HV Enable, HV Status Options: Zero Start Interlock, Slow Start Ramp, 0 to 5 V Voltage & Current Program/Monitor, Control and Monitor via RS232, USB, Ethernet 3 Year Warranty Approvals: IEC61010-1:2010; EN61000-6-4:2007, Class A EN61000-6-2:2005 Operating Temperature: -20 to +40 °C Dimensions: See Downloadable Datasheet Applications: High Voltage, High Power Applications; Photonics; Healthcare (Analytical, Diagnostics, Detectors); Industrial; Semiconductor Manufacturing; Research; Other

Visible Filters
Together with our supplier Vortex, we are able to design and manufacture custom visible filters with short lead-times for many applications. All Vortex filters are sputtered, meaning they are highly durable. We can provide all common types of filter, like Long Wave Pass (LWP), Short Wave Pass (SWP), Wide Band Pass (WBP) and Narrow Band Pass (NBP). Some Examples: Visible Long Wave Pass Filter for blocking lower visible wavelengths (e.g. below 530 nm). Applications include fluorescence, medical systems, order sorting in spectrometers and scientific instruments. Visible Short Wave Pass Filter for blocking longer wavelengths (e.g. above 730 nm) and transmitting short wavebands. Applications include thermal management (Hot Mirrors) in systems and shortening the ranges of sensitivity of detectors. Visible Wide Band Pass Filter used to block a higher and lower wave band and allow a band (e.g. 550 nm to 600 nm) to transmit. A typical application is to isolate a working band in visible systems using Silicon photodiode detectors or visible cameras. Visible Narrow Band Pass Filter typically used to isolate a narrow wavelength range (e.g. around 530 nm) for use in scientific analysis or LED tidying. Steep Edge 45 Deg LWP Filter for separation of colors at 45° angle of incidence – for example blue reflected, orange/red transmitted. Extended Hot Mirror for 45 Deg Angle of Incidence – a type of SWP filter can be used for an application, where the requirement is to reflect the heat of the near infra-red and allow some visible transmission. We are happy to provide a unique visible filter – designed, specified and manufactured to your application’s requirements. Contact the AMS Technologies filter experts today to discuss your customized visible filter solution!
