Product information "YEDFA-PM-SO EDFA Racks"

Polarization Maintaining, Yb/Er Co-doped; 1543 to 1565 nm; Input Power -10 to +10 dBm; Output Power 27 to 33 dBm; 110 to 240 VAC

LightComm Technology’s YEDFA-PM-SO series of high-power polarization maintaining fiber amplifiers are designed to output optimal optical performance with high reliability and stability. These amplifiers are especially developed for PM transmission, sensors and LIDAR applications. The YEDFA-PM-SO line of PM high power fiber amplifiers features a dual stage amplification configuration, pre-amplifier and power amplifier, the use of selected components with extremely high polarization extinction ratio and low insertion loss values, and the careful management of splice joints to preserve polarization. Both input and output signals are sampled and monitored with a feedback circuit to protect the amplification system. APC (automatic power control), AGC (automatic gain control) and ACC (automatic current control) circuits are designed into the amplifier to ensure high stability and reliability of output power. Standard user-friendly Ethernet or RS-232 network interface enables reliable connectivity with the customer’s network management system.

VXP Variable Optical Attenuators
MEMS-based, Pigtail Style, Reflection Mode; Single/Dual Types; Fiber Type SMF28; 1240 to 1640 nm; Attenuation up to 30 dB Sercalo Technology’s VXP series of miniature MEMS variable optical attenuators (VOAs) comes in a very small package and is ideally suited for integration in subsystems, where cost, size and performance are the most critical factors. The non-latching attenuators work in reflection mode and allow for continuous adjustment of the attenuation with a 0 to 5 V control voltage. The VXP variable optical attenuators are composed of an optical subsystem and an electrical driver interface. The highly reliable attenuation mechanism is based on a micromechanical shutter - a silicon MEMS chip, on which a mirror can be moved in and out of the optical path by electrostatic actuation – and features below 20 ms response time and below 1.0 dB insertion loss. The VXP series of miniature VOAs is available in single (VXP1) and dual (VXP2) variants. The plastic package is one of the smallest in the industry and optimized for low cost production while maintaining high reliability comparable to a solid-state device. The component is designed to meet Telcordia 1221 quality standards. The standard VXP attenuator achieves minimum insertion loss at 0 V input voltage. When power is removed, the insertion loss is roughly 0.5 dB higher than the minimum insertion loss (at 0 V when power is on). Key Features: Small Size (23 x 10 x 6 mm) Low PDL Very Fast 0 to 5 V Control Single or Dual Channel Applications: Power Management in DWDM Transceivers; Amplifier Gain Control; Optical Subsystems; Array Integration

FF Fixed Filters
Pigtail or Removable Style; 400 to 2100 nm; Line Width 0.3 nm; Insertion Loss 0.6 dB; Fiber Type SM, MM, PM; Connector Type FC/PC, ST, SC, LC, MU, None OZ Optics’ FF series of fixed filters transmit or block specific wavelengths of light as they travel through the optical fiber. Light from the input fiber is first collimated and passed through the filter. The beam is then focused into the output fiber. Filter linewidths are normally defined in terms of full width at half maximum (FWHM). The standard filters used have a smooth, rounded transmission spectrum that is the result of a single Fabry Perot type cavity, simply made up of two reflectors separated by a fixed spacer of some thickness. Other filter designs are available. For instance, flat top bandpass filters are made by stacking multiple cavities together. By increasing the number of cavities one can increase the roll-off slope therefore improving the out-of-band rejection level. Please contact AMS Technologies for custom filter designs that meet your requirements. Fixed filters using single mode (SM), multi mode (MM) or polarization maintaining (PM) fibers are offered. In general, OZ Optics uses polarization maintaining fibers based on the PANDA fiber structure when building polarization maintaining components and patch cords. However, OZ Optics can construct devices using other PM fiber structures. OZ Optics also carries some alternative fiber types in stock, please contact AMS Technologies for availability. If necessary, OZ Optics is willing to use customer supplied fibers to build devices. For tunable filters refer to OZ Optics’ TF-100 series of digital tunable filters, TF-100-11 series of motor driven tunable filters, TF-11 series of manually adjustable polarization insensitive tunable filters, BTF-11 series of manually adjustable variable bandwidth tunable filters or BTF-100 series of motorized adjustable variable bandwidth tunable filters.
