PMI Ferrule Protrusion Measurement Devices
Connector Type FC, SC, ST, ESCON, FDDI, DIN, LC, MU, Other; Ferrule Diameter 1.25, 2.5 mm; Accuracy of Measurement ±5 µm; Repeatability 5 µm
Nanometer Technologies has developed the PMI series devices PMI-1 and PMI-2 for batch measuring the ferrule protrusion of 2.5 mm and 1.25 mm ferrule PC style connectors. PMI ferrule protrusion measurement devices are ideal for the quality income control of connectors by quickly identifying connectors with different ferrule lengths. This is essential to mass connection polishing, as multi-length ferrules can cause imperfections or result in connectors not to be polished at all.
PMI-1 and PMI-2 devices are designed for quick and easy use. While PMI-1 is designed to batch measure the ferrule protrusion on 2.5 mm PC-style connectors, PMI-2 batch measures 1.25 mm PC-style connectors. PMI series devices save time and money, and also the yield and quality of the production can be easily improved. Whether in the field or in the laboratory, the PMI series will help customers to maintain a high-quality consistent polish and reduces mistakes that can be costly down the road.
