For many years, NWL has been the largest film capacitor manufacturer in North America and the world leader in water-cooled DC link applications. In 2020, the assets of NWL’s capacitor division have been acquired by Cornell Dubilier Electronics (CDE), the largest power capacitor company in North America, offering one of the world’s broadest selection of capacitors. The company develops, manufactures and sells advancing capacitor technology that is used in demanding industrial applications.
With the acquisition, NWL-Cornell Dubilier CDE gained great capabilities in custom, high-voltage DC and AC film capacitors for pulsed power and power conversion applications, including water-cooled devices, capacitors for fast switching IGBTs, DC link capacitors, air-cooled capacitors for harmonic AC or high-voltage DC filtering, DC filter and DC pulse capacitors or oil-filled capacitors for pulse power and power conditioning applications.
