Customers can choose a suitable wavelength product for the application from Ushio Europe’s Epitex Series product range, which is available every 20 nm (below 1000 nm) and every 100 nm (over 1000 nm). Epitex Series single-chip LEDs are available as mold types with diameters of 3 mm, 4 mm or 5 mm. but also in surface mount packages (SMT). The SMT family of surface mount type (TOP) LEDs with wavelengths from 375 nm to 1650 nm features a 3.5 mm x 2.8 mm package, either as flat type or with epoxy or silicone resin lens. Ushio Europe’s SMBB family comprises high-power TOP LEDs with wavelengths from 365 nm to 1650 nm in a 5 mm x 5 mm package, either as flat type or with -02, -03 or -05 lens. The EDC family of surface mount type high-power TOP LEDs with wavelengths from 365 nm to 1650 nm features a 3.5 mm x 3.5 mm ceramics package with standard type or S5 lens. Ushio Europe’s D-Series comprises SWIR Chip LEDs with wavelengths from 1050 nm to 1750 nm and a chip side length of 350 µm. Try NTT-AT’s series of adhesives for optical waveguides! Within this series you find acrylate-based adhesives (AT6001, AT8224)with excellent durability that have cleared a large number of reliability tests. Epoxy adhesives are also part of this series, with a refractive index that can be accurately controlled within a range of 1.456 to 1.567 (±0.005, Na-D) – or with a fixed refractive index that is the same as quartz to deliver low reflectance (GA700L, GA700H). UV curing of the adhesives for optical waveguides allows for adhesion in a short time frame and makes alignment easy. The adhesives withstand a solder reflow process for Si Photonics (+260 °C). In order to achieve high reliability, a product must clear the tests conducted by the users themselves. If you have had even just a bit of dissatisfaction in reliability test results in the past, please put NTT-AT’s adhesives for optical waveguides to the test.
