Beam Positioners

Product information "Beam Positioners"

Sensor Size 4 x 4 - 100 x 80 mm; 350-1100 nm; Power Range 1-2,500 µW; Position Resolution 0.1-100 µm; Position Accuracy 25-1,000 µm; Interface Analog, USB 2.0, Mobile

Lasers propagating through space have a perfect line trajectory. Using this quality, combined with a position sensor capable of measuring perpendicularly to the propagation direction, Duma Optronics’ comprehensive series of beam positioners yields a perfect system for straightness and alignment.

Many applications such as machine straightness measurement, alignment of optical systems, vibration and quality control are enabled by combining the system with the powerful computing capability of today.

Optical beam position measurements can be done by a variety of sensor heads, including CCD or miniature and large-area PSD. Duma Optronics offers a variety of sensor head sizes to accommodate numerous application needs. Position sensing provides measurements of optical beam location on a detector surface, and also provides absolute power measurements.

Duma Optronics’ series of laser beam positioners are measuring accurately down to fractions of a micron, wherein lower resolution allows measurements over wide areas up to 100 mm. This series includes various detector types such as lateral effect, centrally perforated four-quadrant in 4 x 4 mm up to 100 mm size, and CCD.

FL500 Laser Diode Drivers
FL500 Laser Diode Drivers
Manufacturer: Wavelength Electronics

Output Current LD 0.5 A; PCB Mount; Compatible with Type A & B Lasers  Wavelength Electronics’ FL500 series of component type surface mount laser diode drivers is ideal for driving low power laser diodes where low noise is critical. Low leakage current (150 µA) makes it ideal for driving most VCSELs. The FL500 series laser diode drivers operate from 3 to 12 V, so they are compatible with Li+ battery operation. FL500 drivers can be configured as two totally independent 250 mA drivers or a single 500 mA driver and are compatible with Type A or B laser diodes. Because of their small size and low noise, the series is often used in handheld devices and spectroscopy systems. The base unit operates in constant current (CC) mode. The only external components required are a power supply, an analog control voltage, your laser and optional filtering circuitry. For additional features, including current limit and photodiode feedback for constant power operation, use the FL591FL evaluation board with controller. Free, effective and responsive technical support is available to simplify integration of Wavelength products into your OEM design. Standard products can be easily modified to meet your application requirements. Get in touch with the AMS Technologies laser diode driver experts to discuss your customized solution!
