The UCUBE™ series of homogeneous & powerful UV LED flood curing lamps has been designed by UWAVE for repeatable and large irradiation area processes. Its great homogeneity associated to a consistent illumination makes this series of UV LED flood curing systems suitable for a wide range of applications such as curing, bonding, photolithography or photoaging.

Available wavelengths include 275 nm, 305 nm, 365 nm, 385 nm, 395 nm, 405 nm and 465 nm. Beyond the UV-A wavelength range, UWAVE has developed a UV-C version of the UCUBE™ to meet actual concerns on contamination and spread of virus and bacteria. Equipped with the best 275 nm LED in the market, this UCUBE™ model allows a quick & efficient disinfection process of objects and surfaces for larger areas. Depending on total number of UV LEDs, two different power versions of UCUBE™ are available to be suitable for all curing processes that require UV energy: 25 LEDs for a maximum irradiance level of 250 mW/cm², or 100 LEDs for a maximum irradiance level of 1,000 mW/cm².

The standard UCUBE™ system features dispersive UV illumination, but an optional collimated beam optics can be integrated to keep at least 75% of the global irradiance at 10cm working distance – allowing the user to benefit from a powerful and homogeneous UV flux at higher working distances by minimizing UV ray dispersion and loss.

UCUBE™ systems can also be delivered as water-cooled variants thanks to a dedicated external chiller system. Water flow allows a better thermal management of the LED to get an optimal optical stability and a longer lifetime for the product. Please contact AMS Technologies for further details.

For powering and controlling the UCUBE™ systems, UWAVE provides different types of UPOWER™ UV LED power supply & control units for different requirements. UWAVE has designed its products to fit OEM and system integrator requirements. Thus, it is possible to control UCUBE™ systems directly from the PLC (Programmable Logic Control) to facilitate integration into production lines. Many options are available such as temperature monitoring or the control of UV irradiance and time of exposure.

In industrial environments, noise reduction is a growing issue. UWAVE developed the SMART BLADE™ technology to control fan speed in real time based on data provided by the UV LED source and thus minimize the noise. By optimizing its own temperature control, UCUBE™ sources are guaranteed to be both stable and durable.

The UCUBE™ LED has a much higher output power stability than other technologies and does not emit infrared radiation, thus heat-sensitive materials can be processed. UV LEDs are eco-friendly as they do not create ozone, do not contain mercury and only need a few watts to operate.
