Our drop-in heat exchangers remove waste heat from sealed electrical panels and enclosures using Noren’s specially designed heat pipe core technology. Our design dissipates heat from sensitive electronic components to the ambient air outside of the enclosure without exposing them to the harsh and dirty environment outside the cabinet. This enables the heat exchanger to lower the internal temperature of the enclosure, while also keeping an air tight seal. These drop-in heat exchangers are designed to attach to the top of electrical enclosures. The units occupy space both inside and outside of the enclosure and are ideal for applications where the top of the enclosure has enough internal and external clearance for both ends of the unit. Our drop-in heat exchangers are available in UL Type 12, 3R, 4, and 4X. The UL Type depends on many factors. We recommend talking to our Thermal Management team in order to find the best unit(s) for your application. Not every application requires a UL certified unit though. For these applications, we have many heat exchangers that have not been UL tested, but still do an excellent job of removing waste heat from electrical enclosures. Custom Design Heat ExchangersDepending on your unique application, you may need a specially designed heat exchanger. Our engineering team is happy to work with you to design and manufacture a custom unit, or multiple units. Custom heat exchangers are often based on our standard heat exchangers. The various attributes of the standard unit are then modified or changed in order to meet the needs of the application. Contact our Thermal Management team for more information. The range of powers available goes from 410 to 3850 W, covering the majority of applications for cooling electric enclosures in an extremely compact package. Protection against condensateGreat attention is paid to the protection of the electric cabinet against condensate. To that purpose a small stainless steel tank complete with a service discharge pipe and an emergency discharge pipe is provided inside the cooling unit to collect the condensate and to drain it out. Electronic regulation controlAll TEXA air conditioning units are supplied with electronic adjustment as standard. Quick installationInstallation is very quick thanks to the simplicity of the holes to be drilled on the enclosure panel and to the fixing system, whose elements are all included in the cooling unit packaging. They all lend themselves to easy and safe electrical connection by means of rapid connectors which are inserted into the back of the unit. Minimised maintenanceAll the cooling units feature heat exchange surfaces designed to prevent clogging by solid contaminants in the ambient air. They maintain high efficiency even when the environmental conditions are bad, thus reducing maintenance work drastically meaning that the cooling unit can work without a filter on the external air intake. Optimum enclosure protectionThanks to the special internal configuration that keeps the flow of outside air separated and sealed from the inside air, and to the self-adhesive coupling seal, the DEK cooling units allow the enclosure to maintain an IP54 protection level. Safe guarding the environmentGreat attention is paid to limiting the noise level, being one of the most important criteria when designing the DEK cooling units. They are, in fact, designed to minimise disturbance caused by noise to ensure a quiet working place. To protect the environment all the cooling units use the CFC-free, ozonefriendly refrigerant R134a. Supply voltageThe DEK cooling units are available for the main AC supply voltage: 230V single-phase, 400-440V two-phase (in the case of voltage between lines when there is no neutral), 115V single-phase and 400V three-phase, all bifrequency 50-60 Hz. On request and for substantial quantities they can also be available with other voltages not given in the catalogue. PaintingRAL 7035 orange peel effect is the standard colour. Epoxy powder paint is used. On request other colours are available as well as stainless steel versions.
