Termotek was founded in 1998 by Frank Domnick and was incorporated as a privately held stock company in 2000. Termotek initially developed cooling systems for scientific lasers. It quickly branched out into industrial applications and now manufactures cooling systems through series production. Termotek produces: Air-to-water heat exchangers for low-power lasers, Air-to-water compression coolers for medium-power diode lasers up to 200 watts, Air-to-water compression coolers for high-power diode lasers and CO2 lasers, Water-to-water heat exchangers up to 50 kilowatts.
miko Miniature Recirculating Chillers
Cooling Capacity 400-800 W @+25 °C; Process Fluid Flow Rate 4 lpm @1 bar; CPC 1/4” Fittings; Temperature Stability ≤±0.1 K; Heating Capacity 150, 200 W
Termotek’s miko series of miniature recirculating chillers is one of the smallest compressor cooling systems currently available on the market – available as plug-in unit or stand-alone solution. Although its compact dimensions, the miko chiller series offers an extremely high power density and temperature stability of +/- 0.1 K.
The mini-tower version miko p10035 measures just 350 x 200 x 330 mm and delivers a refrigeration capacity of up to 400 W, depending on ambient conditions. The plug-in rack versions deliver between 400 and 800 W with a height of just 3 or 4 RU (rack units).
miko features 24 V miniature compressors which are on a par with the large versions on a 230 V basis and also include a speed control unit. This power density means that miko offers an attractive and efficient alternative to Peltier coolers, including for high ambient temperatures. Both the plug-in and stand-alone units in the miko series are noise- and vibration-reduced.

P300 Recirculating Chillers
Cooling Capacity 200-3,000 W @+20 °C; Process Fluid Flow Rate 0.5-22 lpm @≤8 bar; 3/8” Stainless Steel Fittings; Temperature Stability ±0.1 K; Coolant Temperature 10-35 °C
Termotek has been highly successful on the market with the P300 active cooling systems for many years. The P300 recirculating chillers have consistently proven their worth particularly in laser cooling, medical and laboratory equipment applications thanks to outstanding reliability, precise control and a temperature stability up to ±0.1 K.
Upon request, the 19" plug-in cooling units can also be supplied as desktop units. The P300 is an active system using a compressor refrigeration circuit that cools either a stainless-steel evaporator coil in the cooling water tank or a plate heat exchanger. Its capacity ranges between 200 W and 3 kW.
The standard cooling medium is deionised water. The conductance can be conditioned with the aid of a corresponding DI cartridge, if desired. The central control system of the P300 monitors the water temperature as well as the processes in the refrigerant circuit.
A particle filter in the outlet of the cooling unit and a flow sensor in the return flow ensure trouble-free, reliable operation. The heat is dissipated via a fan or transferred to an existing water supply via a heat exchanger for further use.

P800 Recirculating Chillers
Cooling Capacity 1-15 kW @+20 °C; Process Fluid Flow Rate 3-30 lpm @≤8.5 bar; 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 1” Fittings; Temperature Stability ±0.1-±0.5 K
Termotek’s P800 series of stand-alone cooling units for optimum ratio of dimensions and performance are used wherever there is a need for precise cooling and the need to avoid integrating the refrigeration unit in a separate machine housing.
High performance in a space-saving, mobile housing – this has proved to be a tried-and-trusted combination over many years in all fields of laser cooling, including optical assemblies, in laboratories, in the printing industry and on machine tools and for HSC milling.
The practical arrangement of all the components in the compact housing means not only low maintenance requirements but low vibrations and noise emissions too. The P800 recirculating chillers are available for power ranges from 1 to 15 kW.
P800 chillers provide active cooling and therefore contain a refrigeration circuit with a compressor and a heat exchanger for a variety of media. Both the refrigeration circuit and the cold water temperature are monitored and controlled by a central control system. The cold water is reliably fed to where it is required by a pump.
An optional particle filter in the cold water outlet keeps the circuit clean, and a flow sensor for the return flow guarantees the required stable operation. The waste heat is either emitted to the environment via speed-controlled fans or transferred to a central water circuit via heat exchangers, so that the waste heat can be used, for example, for preheating the process water.

piko Recirculating Chillers
Cooling Capacity 250-3,500 W @+20 °C; Process Fluid Flow Rate 4 lpm @3.5 bar; Temperature Stability ≤±0.1 K; Coolant Temperature 10-35 °C
Termotek’s piko series of recirculating chillers is a further development of the supplier’s successful P300 series. piko chillers are active cooling systems suitable for applications which require a particularly high degree of temperature stability of ±0.1 K.
Being plug-in coolers, piko chillers are suitable for integration in a wide variety of systems. The chillers’ heights vary according to the power: sizes ranging from 3 to 12 RU (rack units) with a refrigeration capacity of 250 W to 3.5 kW are available as standard. While standard piko chillers operate on 230 VAC, the special version piko 24/48 VDC is designed for 24 or 48 V DC and can therefore be integrated in the low-voltage circuits of customers ex works.
The service-proven cooling concept of the P300 series is continued in the piko, which also uses deionised water for the cooling medium as well. A new feature offered by the piko series is a special controller platform, providing the complete monitoring of the entire process, registering all relevant parameters in real-time and therefore guaranteeing extremely high levels of accuracy – also possible from any location if the optional remote mode is used.
A new design feature contributes to the high operational reliability of the piko coolers: all components can be accessed from the front, which means that the unit no longer needs to be taken out of the mounting rack for maintenance work.
