FFS-X SM Fiber Couplers
Fused; Fiber Type SM; 450-1599 nm; Number of Legs 1x2, 2x2; Splitting Ratio 1/99,999-50/50, Other; Fiber Length 0.5, 1 m; RL ≥50 dB; Dimensions Ø3.0x50/60, Ø5.0x75, 80x10x8, 5x5x85 mm Gooch & Housego’s FFS-X series of single mode (SM) fiber couplers split or combine light in the visible or (near) infrared regions. The couplers utilize Gooch & Housego’s (G&H) low-loss fused fiber technology. No light leaves the fiber, therefore no alignment is required and there are no unwanted reflections. Furthermore, the output fiber pigtails may be directly integrated into beam delivery systems. Visible Wavelength SM Fiber Couplers:Within the FFS-xxxxxxxxx series of visible wavelength fiber couplers, versions optimized for any wavelength within the range of 450 to 700 nm may be selected. These couplers are designed for applications in display systems, sensors and biomedical equipment. Near Infrared SM Fiber Couplers:G&H’s FFS-xxxxxxxxx series of near infrared couplers splits light at any selected wavelength from 700 to 1199 nm. These couplers are designed for applications in fiber laser, sensor and avionics applications. Ultra-low Ratio Tap SM Fiber Couplers:G&H’s FFS-xxxxxxAxx series of ultra-low ratio tap couplers splits a very small amount of light from a signal path to a tap port. Suitable for very high optical power, its main application is in the monitoring of optical sources such as fiber lasers. Low tap ratios such as 0.1%, 0.01% or 0.001% enable the monitoring photodetector to operate without damage or saturation. Gooch & Housego proprietary manufacturing technology provides ultra-low loss in the signal path, thereby maximizing optical power handling. Consistently high return loss (>55 dB) reduces the amount of optical power reflected back along the input fiber. This helps the fiber laser operate in a stable manner. Standard ultra-low ratio parts are available for wavelengths from 700 to 1599 nm. For other wavelengths, coupling ratios or customized fiber types please contact AMS Technologies. FOC-12 Fiber Optic Circulators
PM and SM Versions; Panda PM or SM Fiber; 780 to 1550 nm; 3 Ports; Insertion Loss ≤0.7 to ≤1.0 dB Fiber optic circulators act as signal routers, transmitting light from an input fiber to an output fiber, but directing light that returns along that output fiber to a third port. They perform a similar function as an isolator, protecting the input fiber from return power, but also allowing the rejected light to be employed. OZ Optics miniature inline circulators are ideal for OEM applications. They are available with either singlemode or polarization maintaining fiber. OZ Optics’ PM fiber optic circulators are manufactured with polarization maintaining fibers, making them ideal for polarization maintaining applications such as 40 Gbit systems or Raman pump applications. They are also used in double pass amplifiers and in chromatic dispersion compensation modules.  The standard PM fiber alignment is for all power to be transmitted along the slow axis of each fiber (Fast axis blocking). With OZ Optics’ modular design and custom manufacturing capabilities, any of the three ports can be aligned for fast axis coupling. High extinction ratio connectors can also be installed. Regardless of the state of polarization of the return beam, the input fiber will still be isolated from reflected light. For non-telecom wavelengths and high power applications, the cube style circulator is offered. This design is well suited for custom applications. Additional connector and cable options and custom designs are also available. Please forward a detailed description of your application to us.

BS Benchtop Optical Switch Solutions
Non-latching; 1x2, 2x2, 1x4, 1x8; Fiber Type SM, MM; 1240 to 1650 nm; Insertion Loss 1.0 to 2.0 dB; Crosstalk 50 dB; Switching Time 1 ms Sercalo Microtechnology’s BS series are all optical switch solutions for demanding applications in fiber optic instrumentation or communication. The benchtop instrument can switch up to two input fibers to any of up to eight output fibers, independently of data format, wavelength or optical power. The BS series optical switches are available either for single mode (SM) or multi mode (MM) fibers. The optical connections are set by a MEMS based switch network, where micromachined silicon mirrors redirect light to the selected ports. The use of MEMS technology offers solid state reliability together with long term stability and robustness for stable operation. The switch is controlled over an USB connection which also acts as power supply. BS series switches are built using Sercalo Microtechnology’s Telcordia-qualified MEMS technology, which achieves superior reliability and repeatability when compared to traditional mechanical solutions. The switches are fully bi-directional and transparent to the full wavelength range of the installed fiber. When several input fibers are required, the switch architecture can be either blocking or non-blocking. In the blocking architecture when one input is set, the other inputs can only be set to a limited number of “free” ports. In the non-blocking architecture there is no such limitation. Any of the input ports can go to any of the free output ports. But the complexity of the non-blocking architecture is much higher. Key Features: Reliable Low Insertion Loss: Superior Repeatability Single Mode (SM) or Multi Mode (MM) Fibers CE Compliant Applications: Fiber Optic Telecom and Datacom; Fiber Optic Test and Measurement
