Beamsplitters and Dichroic Filters

Product information "Beamsplitters and Dichroic Filters"

Together with our supplier Vortex, we are able to provide optical beamsplitters and dichroic filters that are placed in optical systems usually at 45° to separate (or combine) different wavebands or wavelengths. One band is reflected from the front surface, while the 2nd band is transmitted through.

Vortex’s beamsplitters and dichroic filters can be used to separate different planes of polarization. Some examples of Vortex’s previous work:

  • Beamsplitter for Visible Region to Split/Combine Two Wavelength Bands, 45°
  • Beamsplitter to Separate Two Wavelength Bands in the Mid IR Region at 45°
  • Mid IR Filter Used for Separating S and P Polarization Bands at 45°
  • Polarizing Beam-Splitter for S and P Polarization for 1550 nm Laser at 45°
  • Filter for Separation of Visible and Far Infrared at 45°

We are happy to provide a unique beamsplitter or dichroic filter – designed, specified and manufactured to your application’s requirements. Contact the AMS Technologies experts today to discuss your customized beamsplitter or dichroic filter solution!

Custom Beamsplitters
Beamsplitters are optical components splitting an incident light beam into two parts. Beam splitters take on many forms: cubes, plates, hexagons, pentagons, polarizing, non-polarizing (usually somewhere in between), narrowband, broadband, dielectric, air-spaced, metal, cemented, optically contacted (epoxy-free bonding), a.s.o. If you are looking for a customized beamsplitter that exactly meets your specific performance and cost requirements, please get in touch with the AMS Technologies beamsplitter experts. Our supplier LightMachinery is extremely experienced with specifying, designing and manufacturing custom beamsplitters using the company’s patented fluid jet polishing (FJP) technology that allows the adjustment of the beamsplitter’s shape and flatness to within a few nanometers. We are looking forward to discussing your customized beamsplitter solution! Together with our supplier LightMachinery, it is our job at AMS Technologies to help you sort out the specifications of your customized beamsplitter. Some of the key parameters to think about are wavelength range, polarization and physical size requirements. For instance, P polarization is much more inclined to transmit at large angles (in the 45° range). The challenge for coating designers is to adjust the transmission of the two polarizations to meet the specific requirements of your custom beamsplitter. Also, if the beamsplitter will be used inside an interferometer, you may need to consider path length and phase matching requirements. It is always good if you can explain how you will be using your beamsplitter, it can really help us to define out your requirements. Due to multiple requests for a very accurate beamsplitter, AMS Technologies is offering two standard LightMachinery precision cube beam splitters with angles good down to 1 arcmin and surfaces flat to λ/10. While the OP-5119 beamsplitter is suitable for the 400 to 900 nm wavelength range in the visible (VIS) spectrum, the OP-5120 beamsplitter is optimized for infrared (IR) wavelengths from 800 to 1750 nm. However, do not hesitate to contact AMS Technologies to discuss and specify your custom beamsplitter in detail!

LH Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 187-460 VAC 3-Phase; Max. Output Voltage 1-150 kVDC; Max. Power 5,000 W; Efficiency >85%; Voltage Regulation <0.005%-<0.025%; Current Regulation <0.2%, <0.5% XP Glassman’s LH Series are sophisticated 5 kW high voltage AC/DC power supplies with low ripple and noise. They are air insulated, fast response, 6U rack-mount units with tight regulation. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 1 kVDC through 0 to 150 kVDC. The LH Series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. No oil or encapsulation is used to impede serviceability or increase weight. Internal circuitry constantly senses and integrates arcs that occur over a given time. In the event a system or load arcing problem develops and exceeds factory-set parameters, the power supply will cycle off in an attempt to clear the fault and then automatically restart after a preset “off dwell time”. The LH Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to help extinguish the arc. Typically, ripple is less than 0.05% RMS of rated voltage at full load. Off-the-line pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides high efficiency and a reduced parts count for improved reliability. The LH Series’ front panel contains all local control functions like AC power on/off, separate 10-turn controls to set voltage and current levels, HV voltage on and off/reset switches as well as LED indicators for high voltage on, output polarity, interlock, fault status or voltage/current regulating mode. Output levels are indicated by voltage and current digital meters. All voltage and current programming and monitoring signals are coupled to the user interface by true differential amplifiers. This provides for the ability to return the program and monitor commons to ground or system common at the source. This arrangement isolates the return wires and eliminates errors due to unwanted return currents flowing in these connections. The LH Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current. Automatic crossover from constant-voltage to constant-current regulation provides protection against overloads, arcs and short circuits. A rear panel switch allows selection of either constant-current or current-trip operation. Thermostats and fan RPM sensing shut down the power supply due to over-temperature or reduced fan speeds. Standard accessories for the LH Series include a remote interface mating connector and a detachable 2,4 m shielded high voltage coaxial output cable. The LH Series supplies, when configures with the 400 VAC input option, are fully compliant with the following European harmonized EMI directives: EN61010/ IEC61010, Safety EN61000-6-4, Conducted and Radiated Emissions EN61000-6-2:2005, Conducted and Radiated Immunity 2011/65/EU, Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Key Features: 6U Rack Mount Air Insulated Maximum Output Power: 5 kW – Parallelable to 25 kW Maximum Output Voltage: 1 to 150 kVDC Maximum Output Current: 25 mA to 5.0 A Low Ripple: <0.05% RMS of Rated Voltage at Full Load Tight Regulation Static Voltage Regulation: <0.005% for Specified Line and 0.01% for Specified Load Variations, 0.025% for 80 to 100 kVDC Models Current Regulation: <0.2% (8 to 150 kV), <0.5% (1 to 6 kV) From Short Circuit to Rated Voltage at Any Load Condition Constant Voltage/Constant Current Operation Arc Quench & Arc Count Front Panel, Remote, RS232, USB & Optional Ethernet Control Input Voltage: 187 to 228 or 340 to 460 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz, Three Phase Efficiency: >85% Typical at Full Load Output Voltage Accuracy: 0.5% of Setting + 0.2% of Rated Stored Energy: 3.5 to 58 J Voltage Monitor: 0 to +10 VDC Signal for 0 to Rated Voltage Current Monitor: 0 to +10 VDC Signal for 0 to Rated Current Stability: 0.01%/h After 0.5 h Warm-up, 0.05% per 8 h Polarity: Positive, Negative or Reversible Polarity With Respect to Chassis Ground Protection: Against All Overload Conditions, Including Arcs and Short Circuits Signals Provided on the Remote Interface Connector: Differential Voltage & Current Program/Monitor, HV Enable/Status, Safety Interlock, Fault Status, +10 V Reference, I/V Mode Status Options: Blank Front Panel, Zero Start Interlock, Slow Start Ramp, 0 to 5 V Voltage & Current Program/Monitor, Arc Count and Quench, Common to Ground Isolation, Control and Monitor via RS232, USB, Ethernet 3 Year Warranty Approvals: IEC61010-1:2010; EN61000-6-4:2007, Class A EN61000-6-2:2005 Operating Temperature: -20 to +40 °C Dimensions: 265.9 x 482.6 x 609.6 mm Applications: High Voltage, High Power Applications; Photonics; Healthcare (Analytical, Diagnostics, Detectors); Industrial; Semiconductor Manufacturing; Research; Other
