Product Portfolio
Our portfolio of fiber optomechanics products includes a series of fiber optic U-bracket assemblies that are designed to transmit light across an air gap with low losses – providing reliable fiber-to-fiber, source-to-fiber or fiber-to-detector transmission solutions. Pigtailed as well as connector style assemblies are available. Users can easily insert a variety of bulk optical devices into the pre-aligned U-bracket, including polarizers, isolators, filters and waveplates allowing to quickly and easily test or prototype systems incorporating fiber and bulk optics.
Our series of V-Groove chips assists in developing next generation photonic devices that use V-groove assemblies. The chips allow precise alignment of up to 48 either ribbonized or individual fibers in a linear array. Utilizing these V-Groove chips with a Pyrex lid allows UV or heat curing of the fibers into the array and attachment to another device.

Our fiber optomechanics can be used with our broad range of optical fibers, patch cables, bundles and assemblies (including V-Groove assemblies), driven by our various lasers and light sources.
Beyond fiber optomechanics, further fiber components are available like light to fiber couplers/collimators, fiber connectors, mating sleeves and adapters, fiber receptacle collimators and focusers, fiber WDMs, combiners, splitters and couplers, fiber amplifiers, attenuators and polarization controllers, as well as fiber optic circulators, delay lines, filters, isolators and switches.
Our portfolio of precision optics includes optical lenses, optics assemblies, optical filters, optical prisms, optical mirrors, optical beamsplitters, etalons, optical gratings, optical isolators and polarization optics as well as optical scanners and deflectors or optical modulators, q-switches and pockels cells.
For mounting, adjusting and moving our optical components with high precision, we carry an array of optomechanics and motion control such as optical mounts, rotary and translation stages plus motion controllers as well as optical tables, breadboards and platforms.
Definition
Fiber optic U-brackets make the optical beam path of fiber optic transmission lines available and allow the user to easily insert and remove filters, polarizers, waveplates or other optical devices into or from the beam path. Source-to-fiber U-brackets are ideal for coupling a free space laser into an optical fiber (single mode, multi mode or polarization maintaining), while fiber-to-detector U-brackets allow to attach a photodetector to the output end of the U-bracket to measure the transmitted light.
V-Groove chips provide very precise grooves in V-form on a solid surface. These chips are used to precisely position optical fibers in order to realize regular fiber arrays, in most cases at the end of a fiber bundle. The fibers are mounted into the V-Groove chip using UV- or heat-curing optical adhesives. V-Groove fiber arrays are used to couple light either from one or more light sources to the fibers or from the fibers to other optical components. While in the majority of applications the fiber spacing is minimized as far as possible to reach the highest possible fiber density, some applications require V-Groove fiber arrays with larger fiber spacing.
