XP Glassman offers a solution to most high voltage DC power supply requirements thanks to a very large standard range of high voltage power supplies and to the capability to develop and manufacture custom HV power supplies. Standard power supplies include output voltages up to 500 kVDC with output power ratings up to 200 kW, all with our 3 year warranty.
XP Glassman’s DC power supplies are utilized for a broad range of applications in commercial, defence and research markets.
EJ Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 102-264 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 1-60 kVDC; Max. Power 600 W; Efficiency >85%; Voltage Regulation <0.005%; Current Regulation <0.1%
XP Glassman’s EJ Series of 600 W high voltage AC/DC power supplies feature flexible embedded controls with low ripple and noise. They are air insulated, fast response, 2U rack-mount units with tight regulation and extremely low arc discharge currents. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 1 kVDC through 0 to 60 kVDC.
The EJ series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. No oil or encapsulation is used which would impede serviceability or increase weight. Internal circuitry constantly senses and integrates arcs that occur over a given time. In the event a system or load arcing problem develops and exceeds factory-set parameters, the power supply will cycle off in an attempt to clear the fault and then automatically restart after a preset “off dwell time”. The EJ Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to help extinguish the arc.
Typically, ripple is less than 0.03% RMS of rated voltage at full load. Off-the-line pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides high efficiency and a reduced parts count for improved reliability. Front-panel digital encoders provide high-resolution local adjustment of voltage and current program. Integral RS-232, USB and optional Ethernet communications provide remote control program and monitor.
The EJ Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current. Automatic crossover from constant-voltage to constant-current regulation provides protection against overloads, arcs and short circuits. A rear panel switch allows selection of either constant-current or current-trip operation. Thermostats and fan RPM sensing shut down the power supply due to over-temperature or reduced fan speeds.
Standard accessories for the EJ Series include a detachable 2,4 m shielded high voltage coaxial output cable, line cord, null modem cable and USB cable.
The EJ Series supplies with 230 VAC input option (198 to 264 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz) are fully compliant with the following European directives:

The FR series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. The FR Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to help extinguish the arc.
Typically, ripple is less than 0.025% RMS of rated voltage at full load. Off-the-line pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides high efficiency and a reduced parts count for improved reliability. Front-panel digital encoders provide high-resolution local adjustment of voltage and current program. Integral RS-232, USB and optional Ethernet communications provide remote control program and monitor.
The FR Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current.
Standard accessories for the FR Series include a detachable 2,4 m shielded high voltage coaxial output cable, line cord, null modem cable and USB cable.
The FR Series supplies with 230 VAC input option (198 to 264 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz) are fully compliant with the following European directives:

MJ Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 105-250 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 3-30 kVDC; Max. Power 15 W; Voltage Regulation <0.005%; Current Regulation <0.1%
XP Glassman’s MJ Series of 15 W high voltage AC/DC power supplies are air-insulated, fast-response, chassis-mount units with tight regulation and low arc discharge currents. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 3 kVDC through 0 to 30 kVDC.
The MJ Series’ current regulation is unequalled in a module of this price range. For example, the regulation from short circuit to rated voltage for the 15 kV, 1 mA model is ±500 nA. Overload, short circuit and arc protection is provided by automatic current regulation and by careful surge limiting design. XP Glassman’s “Air Insulated” designs are completely serviceable, these modules are not epoxy block “throw-away” power supplies.
The MJ Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current with less than 200 mJ of stored energy for most models. A “multi-mode” operation mode permits maximum user flexibility. Local voltage or current control is user selectable, and the MJ Series power supplies feature remote voltage and/or current control via 0 to +10 V signal or potentiometers. SH Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 187-228 VAC 3-Phase; Max. Output Voltage 1-100 kVDC; Max. Power 8,000, 16,000 W; Efficiency 85%; Voltage Regulation <0.005%-<0.025%; Current Regulation <0.2%, <0.5%
XP Glassman’s SH Series are sophisticated 8 or 16 kW high voltage AC/DC power supplies with low ripple and noise. They are air insulated, fast response, 10U rack-mount units with tight regulation and extremely low arc discharge currents. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 1 kVDC through 0 to 100 kVDC. SH power supplies can be paralleled up to 40 kW output power, utilizing one master control module and up to four slave modules.
The SH Series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. No oil or encapsulation is used to impede serviceability or increase weight. Internal circuitry constantly senses and integrates arcs that occur over a given time. In the event a system or load arcing problem develops and exceeds factory-set parameters, the power supply will cycle off in an attempt to clear the fault and then automatically restart after a preset “off dwell time”. The SH Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to quickly extinguish the arc.
Typically, ripple is less than 0.025% RMS of rated voltage at full load. Off-the-line pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides high efficiency and a reduced parts count for improved reliability. The SH Series’ front panel contains all local control functions like AC power on/off, separate 10-turn controls to set voltage and current levels, HV voltage on and off/reset switches as well as LED indicators for high voltage on, output polarity, interlock, fault status or voltage/current regulating mode. Output levels are indicated by voltage and current digital meters.
All voltage and current programming and monitoring signals are coupled to the user interface by true differential amplifiers. This provides for the ability to return the program and monitor commons to ground or system common at the source. This arrangement isolates the return wires and eliminates errors due to unwanted return currents flowing in these connections.
The SH Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current.

WJ Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 102-264 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 70-125 kVDC; Max. Power 600 W; Efficiency >85%; Voltage Regulation <0.005%; Current Regulation <0.1%
XP Glassman’s WJ Series of 600 W high voltage AC/DC power supplies feature flexible embedded controls with low ripple and noise. They are air insulated, fast response, 3U rack-mount units with tight regulation and extremely low arc discharge currents. A range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 70 kVDC through 0 to 125 kVDC.
The WJ series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. The WJ Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to help extinguish the arc.
Typically, ripple is less than 0.1% RMS of rated voltage at full load. Off-the-line pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides high efficiency and a reduced parts count for improved reliability. Front-panel digital encoders provide high-resolution local adjustment of voltage and current program. Integral RS-232, USB and optional Ethernet communications provide remote control program and monitor.
The WJ Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current.
Standard accessories for the WJ Series include a detachable 2,4 m shielded high voltage coaxial output cable, line cord, null modem cable and USB cable.
The WJ Series supplies with 230 VAC input option (198 to 264 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz) are fully compliant with the following European directives:
EN61000-3-2, Line Harmonics
EN61010/ IEC61010, Safety
