Adhesives for Fiber Array Assemblies

Viscosity 70->20,000 mPas; Shear Bond Strength > 69->200 kgf/cm²; Bending Adhesion Strength 9-25 kgf/cm²; UV Curing Conditions 10-100 mW/cm², 5, 10 min; Colour Light Yellow, Colourless, White; Tg +42-+219 °CNTT Advanced Technology Corporation’s series of adhesives for fiber array assemblies feature high moisture resistance and excellent workability for v-groove fixing or optical fiber fixing.Fiber arrays are used for the input and output of optical waveguide devices. NTT Advanced Technology Corporation’s AT3925M, AT9390, AT9968, AT3727E and AT3728E epoxy-based optical adhesives are used for fixing the v-grooves and have realized price reductions while enhancing moisture resistance compared to conventional products. These adhesives can be polished after assembly.NTT Advanced Technology Corporation’s AT9575M (epoxy) and AT8105 (acrylate) adhesives for optical fiber fixing have gained popularity for their good workability as non-fluid adhesives.NTT Advanced Technology Corporation has executed durability tests that have shown no peeling of a fiber array after 2,000 hours at +85 °C and 85% of humidity. With viscosities that are appropriate for the usage location, the adhesives for fiber array assemblies are easy to use. While the adhesives for fixing v-grooves show fluidity, the optical fiber fixing adhesives’ consistency is that of a paste, suitable for protecting the fiber. In case you need any consulting regarding issues related to adhesion, please contact the AMS Technologies optical adhesives experts to discuss the detailed challenges of your application.Key Features:Excellent DurabilityJust the Right Viscosity for Easy Application: Non-liquid Viscosity for Fiber Fixation, Low Viscosity Fluid for Fiber Fixation into V-Type GrooveHeat-proof: Maximum Glass Transition Temperature Tg of Over +200 °C (AT3925M)Viscosity: 70 to >20,000 mPasShear Bond Strength: > 69 to >200 kgf/cm²Bending Adhesion Strength: 9 to 25 kgf/cm²UV Curing Conditions: 10 to 100 mW/cm², 5, 10 minColour (Pre-Curing): Light Yellow, Colourless, WhiteGlass Transition Temperature Tg: +42 to +219 °CApplications: Gluing of Fiber Array Assemblies; V-Groove Fixing; Optical Fiber Fixing

HPCR/AA-250/SH-200 Fiber Optic Shutters
HPCR/AA-250/SH-200 Fiber Optic Shutters

High Power; Insertion Loss <0.5 dB; Power Handling ≤50 W; Shutter Response Speed <5 ms; Shutter Electrical Interface 5 V TTL In response to increasing demand for high power handling fiber optic components, OZ Optics has developed the HPCR / AA-250 / SH-200 series of fiber optic shutters and connectors that incorporate smart sensors for safety interlocks. These shutter systems can be incorporated in high power handling components, including freespace-to-fiber and fiber-to-fiber coupling situations. For extreme power handing capabilities, the shutters can also incorporate additional beam dumps and/or heat sinks to safely absorb the blocked laser power. The key components that allow realization of smart shutters and safety interlocks are a series of proximity sensors and temperature sensors installed at suitable locations in the body of fiber optic assemblies. These provide the necessary electrical signals to alert the end user to take appropriate action. Key Features: Multiple Watt CW Power Handling Shutter Speeds of <5 ms Controlled via 5 V TTL Signal Available with Temperature and Connector Proximity Sensors for Safety Interlocks Compatible with SMA 905 and FC Connectors Available in Laser-to-fiber and Fiber-to-fiber Versions Fiber Connectors and Receptacles with Safety Sensor/interlocks Available Applications: All Situations Involving Laser Beams, Including High Power Laser Beams Coupled into SM or MM Fibers; Laser Facilities Requiring Compliance to Laser Safety Standards; High Power Industrial and Medical Laser Applications - Laser Marking, Cutting, Welding, Laser Scalpel, Eye Surgery, Tattoo Removal; High Power Laser Physics; High Power Spectroscopy; OEM Laser Systems

Adhesives for Optical Waveguides
Adhesives for Optical Waveguides

Refractive Index 1.458-1.567; Viscosity 145-2,000 mPas; Optical Transmittance (@1 mm, 1.3 µm) 82%-94%; Bond Strength 99->247 kgf/cm²; UV Curing Conditions 10, 30 mW/cm², 5, 10 minYou are looking for PLC and fiber array adhesion with high reliability? Try NTT Advanced Technology Corporation’s series of adhesives for optical waveguides!Within this series you find acrylate-based adhesives (AT6001, AT8224)with excellent durability that have cleared a large number of reliability tests. Epoxy adhesives are also part of this series, with a refractive index that can be accurately controlled within a range of 1.456 to 1.567 (±0.005, Na-D) – or with a fixed refractive index that is the same as quartz to deliver low reflectance (GA700L, GA700H).UV curing of the adhesives for optical waveguides allows for adhesion in a short time frame and makes alignment easy. The adhesives withstand a solder reflow process for Si Photonics (+260 °C).In order to achieve high reliability, a product must clear the tests conducted by the users themselves. If you have had even just a bit of dissatisfaction in reliability test results in the past, please put NTT Advanced Technology Corporation’s adhesives for optical waveguides to the test.In case you need any consulting regarding issues related to adhesion, please contact the AMS Technologies optical adhesives experts to discuss the detailed challenges of your application.Key Features:Optical Adhesive Used for PLC to Fiber Link-upPrecision Refraction Index of 1.458 to 1.567 (±0.005, Na-D) Provides ControllabilityUltraviolet (UV) Curing Conditions: 10, 30 mW/cm², 5, 10 minVery Little Adhesion Loss Due to Heat or Moisture, Providing High DurabilityViscosity: 145 to 2,000 mPasOptical Transmittance: 82% to 94% (@1 mm Thickness, Wavelength 1.3 µm)Bond Strength: 99 to >247 kgf/cm²Applications: Gluing of Optical Waveguides; PLC to Fiber Link-up; Silicon Waveguide to Fiber Link-up
