SMJ SM Patch Cables
Single Mode Patch Cables; 200-2000 nm; Fiber Type SM; Insertion Loss ≤0.2 dB; Connector Type FC/PC, SC, ST, LC, MU, E2000 For its SMJ series of single mode (SM) patch cables, OZ Optics produces high-quality fiber optics patchcords using a variety of commercially available connectors and fibers. These patchcords offer low insertion losses, and excellent repeatability. SMJ SM patch cables can be manufactured to any specified length. An array of cable materials is available, including unjacketed fiber, 0.9 mm outside diameter (O.D) loose tube buffer, 3 mm O.D Kevlar reinforced PVC jacketing, 3 mm armored cabling, and 5 mm heavy duty armored cabling as well as 3 mm or 5 mm stainless steel armored cablings. OZ Optics offers single mode (SM) fibers for a variety of wavelengths, ranging from 320 nm to 1550 nm, as well as 2000 nm fibers. They typically have a 99% numerical aperture (NA) of about 0.13. Higher NA single mode fibers are available for certain special applications. When ordering single mode fibers please specify what wavelength it will be used for. Single mode fiber designed for 1300 nm will not be single mode at 633 nm. Single mode fiber designed for 488 nm will work at 633 nm with only slightly higher losses, but at 700 nm the losses are too high. A large assortment of fiber types is available from stock. OZ Optics also offers custom cabling services for customer-provided fibers. Please contact AMS Technologies for available fiber types. SMJ SM patch cables can be terminated with NTT-FC, SC, AT&T-ST, LC, and SMA connectors, as well as other connector types. FC connectors are highly recommended for both single mode and multi mode use. They offer high precision and repeatability. SMA connectors are used mainly for very large core fibers and high-power applications. FC connectors with Super PC and angle polished (APC) end faces are available to minimize back reflection. Typical back reflection levels are 45 dB for Super PC connectors and 60 dB for APC connectors. FC connectors for SM fibers with ferrule hole sizes of 79 µm, 80 µm, and 83 µm are available to accommodate small cladding size fibers. IXF Mirror Mounts
Flexure Mechanism; Aluminum/Steel/Stainless Steel; Optic Size from 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) to 101.6 mm (4.0 inch); Different Thread Types The IXF series is a unique, monolithic flexure mount found nowhere else in the industry. Unlike other flexure designs, they have lockable 100TPI adjustment screws that have a rolled-cap design to guarantee that the flexure will not be forced past its elastic limit. Three versions are available: steel-bulkhead mounted, steel bulkhead/post mounted, and aluminum-bulkhead/post mounted. The steel-bulkhead mounted version (IXF1.0, IXF.75, and IXF.50) has 4-40 tapped holes on two sides and is electroless nickel plated. The steel-bulkhead/post version (IXF1.0i, IXF.75i, and IXF.50i) has the 4-40 tapped holes on only one side, and has 8-32 (M4) tapped holes on two edges, as well as lock screws for the fine pitch 100TPI adjustment screws. This model is also electroless nickel plated. For vacuum compatible and flight-ready applications, Siskiyou developed a method to produce a spring-loading effect in an aluminum version. The aluminum version (IXF1.0a, IXF.75a, and IXF.50a) has the same features and performance specifications as the steel bulkhead/post version.

LDTC LAB Laser Diode Drivers and TEC Temperature Controllers
Output Current LD 2, 5 A; Output Current TEC 5, 10 A; Benchtop or Rack Mount; Compatible with Type A, B & C Lasers  Wavelength Electronics’ LDTC LAB series of instrument type laser diode and TEC temperature controllers combine best-in-class low noise, high-end digital control laser diode driver technology with an IntelliTune® smart TEC temperature controller. If you need stable wavelength, stable temperature (better than 0.0009 °C with thermistors), stable laser diode current or power, or low noise (RMS laser driver noise as low as 7 µA), these offer the best performance and value. Two models are available, the LD2TC5 LAB and the LD5TC10 LAB. The LD2TC5 LAB outputs up to 2 and 5 A for the laser and thermoelectric, respectively. The LD5TC10 LAB outputs up to 5 and 10 A. Both models offer 10 V of laser compliance voltage and 15 V of thermoelectric compliance voltage. The touch-screen interface makes operation intuitive and simple. A LabVIEW® virtual instrument, remote command set, and USB interface allow integration into an instrument library. Operation in Constant Current (CC) or Constant Power (CP) mode changes with the touch of a button. A wide variety of sensors work in the temperature control feedback loop. Safety features protect the thermoelectric cooler (TEC) and the laser. Over- and under-temperature limits on the load, positive and negative (where applicable) current limits, and voltage limits can be set for both TEC and laser. If the sensor signal is lost or a short is detected at the TEC, output current is disabled. Passive and active interlocks are available for safety of equipment and user. Automatic laser shutdown upon TEC error is also available. You can link laser diode current to safe and stable thermoelectric operation. With Wavelength Electronics’ plug and play instrument, you have the ability to quickly set the controls using either the instrument touch screen or a remote computer, and results are easy to monitor. Wavelength Electronics’ proprietary IntelliTune® algorithm characterizes the TEC/sensor system’s response to the controller and determines the optimal PID control coefficients. It then automatically adjusts the PID control values as setpoint, tuning mode, or bias current change. Run IntelliTune® easily just off ambient and watch it change PID settings for a much higher or lower setpoint. After a single scan, explore either optimized Setpoint Response or Disturbance Rejection performance with your load to see which works best. Add or remove the D term to see if noise is an issue.IntelliTune® lets you skip the manual characterization and it’s smart enough to really work—very little adjustment is needed after you have stored a successful characterization scan. An Interlock Kit containing a BNC terminator for the laser interlock and a pre-soldered DSUB to satisfy the laser interlocks is included with the instrument. The LDMOUNT-5A, a 14-pin butterfly laser diode mount with integrated heat sinking, is available for simple connections between the LDTC LAB driver and the laser.
