MPL Series Laser Diode Drivers
Product information "MPL Series Laser Diode Drivers"
Output Current LD 0.25-7.5 A; Chassis Mount; Compatible with Type A, B & C Lasers
Wavelength Electronics‘ MPL series of module type very low noise laser diode drivers offers high performance while operating from a single +12 to +15 V DC supply. A single 15 pin D-sub connector is used for inputs and outputs, enhancing the reliability of the interface with your laser diode or TE module. The MPL series is very easy to set up for any laser diode / photodiode configuration and provides excellent stability during constant current, constant power, or modulated operation of your laser diode.
Two photodiode ranges provide variable sensitivities for optimum operation. Users can maintain excellent stability when operating in both constant current and constant power mode. Front panel 12-turn setpoint and current limit trimpots are easily accessible and offer precision control. A slow start circuit, mechanical shorting relay and current limit offer maximum protection for your laser diode even when power is removed. The level of current set by the current limit is always drawn from the DC power supply.
Free, effective and responsive technical support is available to simplify integration of Wavelength products into your OEM design. Standard product can be easily modified to meet your application requirements. Get in touch with the AMS Technologies laser diode driver experts to discuss your customized solution!
