The WEV301 thermal solution kit can be used with following laser diode drivers and temperature controllers from Wavelength Electronics: WTCP5V5A, WTC3243, WTC3243HB, WHY5640, WLD3343, WLD3343-2L, WLD3343-3A, WLD33ND-3L or WLD3343HB. The controllers operate to 500 mA without any additional heatsinking (assuming 5 V operation). To operate up to 1 A, add the WTW002 thermal washer and the WHS302 heatsink. To operate to the full 2.2 A, add a fan WXC303 (5 V) or WXC304 (12 V). For convenience, a kit with two 0.75" and two 1" screws is available: WXC305. The WEV301 includes the WTW002 thermal washer, the WHS302 heatsink, and the WXC305 screw kit. Two other kits that add fans are available: WEV300 (includes thermal washer, heatsink, screw kit, and a +5 V fan) or WEV302 (includes thermal washer, heatsink, screw kit, and a +12 V fan).

The WTC3243 is a compact, analog PI (Proportional, Integral) control loop circuit optimized for use in ultrastable thermoelectric temperature control applications. It easily handles variable operating conditions with a stability of better than 0.0009 ºC. The temperature setpoint is set by a remote voltage signal. It is capable of controlling both thermoelectric and resistive heaters, and only five external resistors are needed to optimize the controller for your specific application. The WTC3293 Evaluation Board is available to quickly integrate the WTC3243 into your system and can be optimized for sensor type. Use the adjustable trimpots to configure heat and cool current limits, proportional gain, and integrator time constant. WLD33ND Laser Diode Drivers
Output Current LD 2.2, 3 A; PCB Mount; Compatible with Type A, B & C Lasers Wavelength Electronics’ WLD33ND series of component type general-purpose laser diode drivers are easy-to-use analog circuits for space constrained laser diode applications. WLD33ND laser diode drivers maintain precision laser diode current (Constant Current mode) or stable photodiode current (Constant Power mode) using electronics that are compatible with any laser diode type. The WLD33ND series is the new version of the discontinued WLD3343 series of laser diode drivers. There are five laser diode driver models available in the WLD33ND series. While the standard WLD33ND provides up to 2.2 A to the laser diode, the WLD33ND-3A version provides up to 3 A.
