When cooling the inside of a cabinet to slightly above the outside air temperature with air to air thermal management assemblies like our standard cabinet coolers (based on thermoelectric, compressor or heat-pipe technology) is not sufficient, AMS Technologies’ series of flush mount liquid based cabinet coolers provides powerful solutions for cooling down the air inside a cabinet below ambient temperatures. These liquid to air thermal management assemblies are easy to install (to the outside of the cabinet, typically on the side) and maintain, using only 4 l/min water source for most units.
Pump stations are used together with air blast coolers – finned tube heat exchangers – to remove heat from power semiconductors. Main features are utmost reliability due to the unique bullet proof, leak tight manifold block, temperature control via 3-way-valve, short commissioning time, automatic de-aeration and optionally redundant pumps, leakage monitoring or PLC control.
As a base for customized liquid-to-air cooling solutions, AMS Technologies’ thermal management specialists have realized a liquid cooling development platform, available in different performance levels up to 500 W as a base for customized, compressor-based liquid-to-air cooling solutions. Consisting of a sealed vapor compression circuit with compressor, aluminum finned copper tube heat exchanger coil as condenser and a brazed plate liquid to liquid heat exchanger as evaporator and interface to the liquid cooling circuit, these kits contain all necessary components on the refrigerant side. For customer projects, the user just needs to select and add a suitable fan and set up the liquid cooling circuit including the pump.
If you cant’t find a standard liquid to air thermal management assembly that covers your project’s requirements, AMS Technologies is happy to implement a customized cooling solution based on a variety of cooling technologies. We are able to tailor performance data, form factors and interfaces for solving the most demanding cooling tasks. AMS Technologies’ portfolio of liquid to air thermal management assemblies using water or water-glycol mixtures for heat transfer includes a broad range of ready-to-use recirculating chillers and ambient cooling systems.
Featuring precise temperature control, quiet operation and high reliability, AMS Technologies’ portfolio of recirculating chillers ranges from compact thermoelectric chillers with a cooling capacity of 160 W to a multitude of stand-alone and rack-mount devices based on thermoelectric or compressor engines. And for even higher thermal loads like large power electronics or energy storage systems, our liquid to liquid thermal management assemblies provide ideal cooling solutions.
All our liquid-based cooling assemblies can be used for heat transfer by recirculating liquids through liquid-cooled cold plates. AMS Technologies provides a broad range of cold plate technologies covering even the most specific fluid compatibility and performance requirements. Friction stir welded (FSW) cold plates are suitable for glycol-water and very high cooling needs, while press-lock tubed types are ideal for tap or de-ionised water. For special applications, vacuum brazed cold plates, flat tube cold plates or pin fin types are available as well as models for low to medium power densities made of hot-rolled aluminum metal sheets.
