Product Portfolio
AMS Technologies carries a broad range of products for laser and X-Ray safety, including protective eyewear as well as laser safety windows, curtains and cabins.
Our broad portfolio of laser safety goggles for different applications and laser types allows you to find the laser safety filter for your application and choose the suitable frame. The range of frames offers a wide choice of different styles and features, including lightweight models or spectacles for wearers of prescription glasses. Excellent coverage and a great fit are the basis of laser glasses with features like side shields, superposition or soft rubber padding.
AMS Technologies also carries laser safety windows used primarily in industrial applications, consisting of the same materials used in the line of filters for our glasses. Choose from 24 different plastic filter models and six different glass filter models in standard formats, specifically developed to cover the safety requirements for applications with the most common laser types.
Although our X-Ray protection goggles do not exactly provide “laser safety”, they also protect the eyes from radiation. We carry goggles for different X-Ray applications, including a range of classic or sportive frame designs. X-Ray protection goggles are also available with single, bifocal and progressive lenses according to your correctional values.
All these models’ laser safety filters are certified and tested in accordance with the valid standards according to international and European optical and laser standards (EN 207 / EN 208). Please carefully determine the required safety levels for your laser or X-Ray device to select a suitable safety eyewear or window. If you not only want to protect your eyes but ensure that a larger area does not leak any laser radiation, take a look at our broad portfolio of laser safety curtains, panels and cabins, allowing you to find the appropriate large area laser protection solution for your laser. All safety materials are tested and certified according to EN 12254.
Laser safety curtains and panels are suitable for low- to mid-power applications, protecting against scattered radiation as well as direct radiation. Individual wishes such as velcro, hem and eyelet tape are possible on request. And our laser protection cabins made from Aluminium Composite or steel sheets allow maximum power densities up to 2500 MW/m² for 100 s.
Experienced and reliable installation partners can promptly install our protection cabins on-site. On request, we are glad to perform a risk analysis at your company, so that your cabin can be used in conformity with EN 60825-4 and be classified as laser class 1.

Definition
The operation of laser systems in many areas of industry, medicine, research and a growing number of further applications is constantly increasing, while the lasers get more powerful and more comprehensive in their settings. Accordingly, the requirements and challenges of laser safety are increasing.
Protective eyewear in the form of spectacles or goggles with appropriately filtering optics can protect the eyes from the reflected or scattered laser light with a hazardous beam power, as well as from direct exposure to a laser beam. The selection of the right laser safety eyewear is essential to ensure reliable protection. A large number of different laser parameters, such as wavelength, power and pulse mode, are included in the calculation.
Large area laser protection equipment includes laser safety curtains (mostly made from synthetic material) allowing typical maximum power densities of 100 W/m² up to tens of MW/m² for 100 s. Laser protection cabins made from materials like composite or even steel covered with special laser protective material provide hermetic and reliable protection and allow for very high power densities up to thousands of MW /m² for 100 s. Laser safety control systems for entrance doors to cabins allow active controlling of laser applications by interlock contacts, by power supply or by beam dumps.
