PM Patch Cables available from Stock
AMS Technologies provides a broad range of polarization maintaining fiber patch cables with a large list of different connectors, connector finishes, coatings and fibers available for customization. We cover the spectrum from 200 nm up to 2200 nm with standard fiber. A growing portfolio of standard PM patch cables is available from stock: you can filter by connector type (FC/APC, FC/SPC, etc.), cable length, jacket outside diameter and colour as well as wavelength range and cutoff wavelength to select the right patch cable for your application.
Product Portfolio
Within our portfolio, a series of high-power PM patch cables ensure maximum power handling for your application, while hermetically sealable PM patch cables with glass or metal solder feature a rugged hermetic feedthrough. If you need high extinction ratio, low insertion loss or any special testing at specific wavelengths, we provide you with an end-to-end solution for your PM patch cable needs – get in touch with the AMS Technologies fiber optics experts to discuss your customized PM patch cable solution.
Definition
Fiber optic polarization maintaining (PM) patch cables consist of a polarization maintaining (PM) fiber, like PANDA or bow-tie, which is covered with an often yarn-reinforced coating with low refractive index and possibly an additional protective outer layer (jacket). PM patch cables are pre-terminated at one or both ends with suitable fiber connectors (e.g. FC or SC type) that feature a key defining the rotational orientation of the fiber.
Related Products
In addition to polarization maintaining (PM) patch cables, AMS Technologies also carries a broad range of single mode (SM) and multi mode (MM) patch cables, either in various standard configurations or customizable to your requirements.
If you need PM patch cable mating sleeves or bulkhead receptacles, AMS Technologies offers a large range of off-the-shelf components. In our portfolio you will also find a large selection of cleaning tools for patch cable connectors as well as for the inspection of your connectors.
