New Infrared Technologies’ (NIT) TACHYON Series of high-speed imaging MWIR (midwave infrared) cameras provide frame rates of up to 10,000 fps (frames per second) at the full resolution of up to 128×128 pixels – in uncooled operation.

While the TACHYON 16k CAMERA features 2,000 fps at full resolution, the TACHYON 16K CAMERA PLUS model allows up to 4,000 fps at full resolution as well as software-configurable ROI windowing modes, hardware NUC correction and selectable data transmission modes. Uncooled and affordable, fast and robust, the compact size TACHYON 16K CAMERA models are optimal for volume requirements and targeted for full integration in Industry 4.0 applications.

Both TACHYON 16K CAMERA and CAMERA PLUS models are based on NIT’s TACHYON 16K FPA (Focal Plane Array), sensitive in the 1 µm to 5 µm spectral range. This FPA utilizes VPD PbSe, entirely developed and manufactured by NIT, providing the first quantum infrared technology monolithically compatible with Si-CMOS circuitry. With on-chip A/D readout electronics as well as on-chip dark current cancellation circuit and a digital interface for control and data, the TACHYON 16K FPA features global shutter snapshot readout of 14 Bit raw data and a programmable integration time between 20 µs and 1,000 µs.

NIT’s TACHYON 1024 microCAMERA  is an uncooled MWIR camera with an IP67-rated enclosure for industrial environments. The camera is powered through a USB 2.0 (high speed) interface with industrial M12 USB connector and capable to reach a frame rate of 1,000 fps. Its miniaturized size, based in a SWaP-C concept, ensures perfect integration into the production process.

The TACHYON 1024 microCAMERA is based on NIT’s TACHYON 1024 FPA, an uncooled 32x32 VPD PbSe focal plane array with digital interface and high-speed capabilities up to 10,000 images per second, sensitive in the 1 µm to 5 µm spectral range. With on-chip A/D readout electronics as well as on-chip dark current cancellation circuit and a digital interface for control and data, the TACHYON 1024 FPA features snapshot readout of 10 Bit raw data and a programmable integration time between 100 µs and 1,000 µs.

Based on the TYCHYON 1024 FPA, NIT also provides the TACHYON 1024 microCORE  uncooled MWIR module with USB connection. The module is USB-powered and capable to reach an acquisition frame rate of 1,000 fps. Optimized size and affordable cost ensure perfect integration in the production process, also in cost-sensitive machine vision applications.

NOA 142 Optical Adhesive 1oz bottle
Refractive Index 1.42; 20-30 cps Viscosity at 25°C Norland Optical Adhesive 142 is clear liquid adhesive that will cure when exposed long wavelength ultraviolet light. NOA 142 is recommended for bonding for glass to glass. Adhesion is also good to cellulose acetate butyrate. NOA 142 is cured by ultraviolet light between 315 and 395 nm. Peak absorption is 365nm. Full cure requires 6 Joules/cm2 of UV energy. The adhesive exhibits oxygen inhibition and must be cured under an inert atmosphere if used as a coating to assure surface is tack free.Typical Properties of NOA 142 Color Clear Shore D Hardness 70 Temperature Range -15°C to 90°C Keep NOA 142 in a cool (5-22°C) dark place. If refrigerated, allow the adhesive to come to room temperature before using.

Custom Optical Prisms
A broad range of custom optical prisms is available from OPTAplus. Within the OPTAplus product range, you can choose between various prism types like right-angle prisms, 30°-60° prisms, corner cubes, roof prisms, Dove prisms, penta prisms, dispersion prisms or wedges – with dimensions ranging from 2.00 mm to 100.00 mm. Optical prisms are made of material that is optically transparent to light of the relevant wavelength. This material is shaped into a prismatic form in which the end faces are not parallel to each other, resulting in optical refraction when a light beam is sent through the optical prism. Typical applications for optical prisms are dispersion, reflection, deflection, rotation and axis offset of a light beam. Does your application require customized optical prisms? ProView LD Fiber End Face Interferometers
For Fiber Holders or Connectors; Fiber Cladding/End Face Diameter 125-270 µm; FOV ~800 µm; Sensor CMOS Monochrome; Resolution 2560x1920; Interface & Power Supply USB 3.0 NorthLab´s ProView LD™ series are highly advanced interferometers for precise measurement and inspection of fiber end faces with cladding diameters from 125 to 720 μm. These interferometers are specifically designed for production lines where a simple, fast and very accurate end face inspection is required. The ProView LD series is also well suited for R&D environments and for fiber cleaver or connector maintenance purposes. ProView LD interferometers are available in two variants for either fiber holders or connectors. ProView LD for fiber holders has a unique fiber clamping mechanism which can accommodate standard fiber holders from Fitel or Fujikura but also allows the use of bare fibers. This ProView LD model is delivered with a universal sized v-groove clamp assembly, while the ProView LD for connectors is delivered with a pre-mounted standard SMA, FC/PC, ST/PC or LD80 connector holder. Custom made clamps or adapters can be offered on request. In many cases an interferometric fringe pattern can be very complicated to analyze and understand. For ease of use and optimal inspection speed the ProView LD interferometers includes highly advanced and fully automatic functions for 2D and 3D topographic analyses of the end face surface. The software automatically indicates the angle, flatness and slope direction (radius and angle for the connector version) of the end face. To simplify the inspection process even further the ProView LD series can be set to a “Pass/Fail” mode. This function allows the operator to simply determine the end face quality via color codes on the image. In addition to cleave angle or radius and angle inspection, ProView LD interferometers can also be used to measure several other properties such as fiber diameters and distance between defined points etc. The ProView LD series has a compact design which makes it ideal for a production bench and to be used side-by-side with fusion splicers, cleavers, polishing stations, ultrasonic cleaners and other preparation tools. ProView LD interferometers are connected and powered via an USB 3.0 cable and hosted by an external PC (not included). Key Features: Two Variants for Fiber Holders or Connectors Fiber Cladding or End Face Diameters: 125 to 720 μm 2D and 3D Topography Fringe & Inspection Mode From PC Controller GUI Very Fast Inspection Time With Automatic Angle Estimation Optional Use of Pass/Fail Cleave Angle Indication (Radius and Angle for the Connector Version) Inspection of End-face Properties such as Flatness, Perpendicularity, Hackles and Contamination Grab and Save 2D and 3D Images and Cleave/Connector Data Field of View (FOV): ~800 µm Sensor: CMOS Monochrome Resolution: 2560 x 1920 Interface and Power Supply: USB 3.0 Application: Interferometric Inspection of Fiber End Faces with Diameters of 125 to 720 µm
