OZ Optics’ product range of high-quality SMPC, PMPC and BULK series sleeve through adapters and HPLC series bulkhead receptacles are suitable for a variety of fiber connector types.

Sleeve through adapters are used to mate two male fiber connectors together. The flange on the receptacle enables the user to mount the adapter onto a housing or box. The SMPC, PMPC and BULK series of standard receptacles mate fibers terminated with industry-standard FC/PC, FC/APC, SMA, SC, LC, and ST connectors.

HPLC bulkhead receptacles allow to attach fiber optic patch cords to an opening, in order to project light into free space where it can be used by other optical devices, such as lenses and detectors. These receptacles feature precision zirconia sleeves to center the fiber as well as a stop to ensure the fiber tip stops at a precise point in space.

Within the HPLC series, OZ Optics also provides bulkhead receptacles without stoppers for pigtailed adjustable FC or SMA connectors as well as angled receptacles specifically designed for correcting the refraction from angle-polished connectors.

They consist of an input receptacle, a collimating lens, a focusing lens and the output receptacle. Light from the input fiber is first collimated, then focused back into the output fiber. The alignment is precisely controlled using OZ Optics’ patented alignment technique. Lens style universal connectors are tilt adjustable to compensate for any offsets between the fiber cores and the connector housings. Please note that universal connectors will not couple light efficiently from a multi mode fiber into a single mode fiber. High losses are unavoidable in this situation, since multi mode fibers have both larger numerical apertures and larger core sizes.
