Lord FiVe Finned Tube Condensers and Evaporators
Tube Diameter 5 mm; Tube Material Cu, Al; Tube Matrix 19.05x12.70 mm; Fin Density 7-21 fpi; Fin Spacing 1.2-3.6 mm
AMS Technologies’ customized condenser and evaporator offering is based on Lordan’s compact, lightweight Lord FiVE coil pattern with a 5 mm diameter rifled tube– the smallest and most advanced coil on the market today.
With its small diameter tube, Lord FiVe provides excellent heat exchange performance while utilizing smaller amounts of refrigerant compared to the usual 3/8” pipes, making Lord FiVe condensers and evaporators for vapor compression circuits more environment-friendly and cost-effective.
Lord FiVe condensers and evaporators are helium leak tested at 42 bar and are guaranteed to have less than 0,5 g refrigerant leakage per year.
Its dense pattern (19.05 mm pitch and a depth of only 12.70 mm) allows Lord FiVe condensers and evaporators to fit into small areas while providing high heating and cooling outputs. Fin densities from 7 to 21 fpi (fins per inch) are available, as well as marine grade aluminium fins, coatings and other options.
Finned height and length, number of rows, number of circuits, fan mount and access valve fittings, among others, are tailored to the customer’s specifications. Please contact the AMS Technologies thermal management experts to discuss your customized finned tube condenser or evaporator solution that exactly matches your requirements.

Triple 7™ Tube-Fin Heat Exchangers
Fin Density 6-22 fpi; Fin Spacing 1.2-4.2 mm; Tube Diameter 7 mm; Tube Material Cu, Al, Stainless Steel; Tube Matrix 19.05x16.51 mm
Tube-fin heat exchangers based on Lordan’s Triple 7™ pattern of 7 mm tubes provide reduced volume and weight compared to heat exchangers built with the usual 3/8” pipes.
Triple 7™ is an exceptionally high-capacity coil pattern with high airflow in one of the smallest possible tube diameters on the market today for finned coils. It is well suited for specialized applications where volume and weight can be critical. The Triple 7™'s small size and weight takes less refrigerant, making it a cost-effective and environmentally friendly choice.
Triple 7™ owes its name to its 7 mm tube length, tube diameter, equilateral tube arrangement, and optimal ratio between tube diameter and tube distance. The smaller the tube diameter, the greater number of tubes is possible in a given fin cross-section.
Equilateral tube arrangement (pitch), with equal distances between each tube and its six adjacent tubes, allows heat to travel at the shortest possible distance from fins to tube. As a result, the equilateral pitch produces the highest fin efficiency.
The high-capacity Triple 7® coil is suitable with any type of fluid and can be customized to a range of specialized heavy-duty, precision cooling or industrial cooling applications.
Finned height and length, number of rows, number of circuits, fan mount and access valve fittings, among others, are tailored to the customer’s specifications. Please contact the AMS Technologies thermal management experts to discuss your customized tube fin heat exchanger solution that exactly matches your requirements.
