HN-PCF Photonic Crystal Fibers
Cut off Wavelength 650, 1000 nm; Mode Field Dia. 2.0, 4.3 µm; Zero-dispersion Wavelength 800 to 1000 nm; Optical Loss <30, <100 dB/kmGreitlex Photonics’ HN-PCF series is a new type of fibers, so-called micro-structured or photonic crystal fibers. This type of fibers features holes or inclusions of a material with different refractive index in the core and/or in the cladding.New dispersion and nonlinear properties can be observed in photonic crystal fibers. Most of the specific applications for micro-structured fibers require their own specific structure of the fiber. Greitlex Photonics has the capabilities to design and fabricate a broad variety of fiber structures according to customer orders.Other parameters are available on the request. The HN-PCF-800 fiber is specially designed for supercontinuum generation using Ti-sapphire ultra-fast femtosecond lasers, while the HN-PCF-1040 fiber is specially designed for supercontinuum generation using Yb-doped picosecond or femtosecond ultra-fast fiber lasers. They replace similar products from the former FORC Photonics. Key Features:Mode Field Diameter: 2.0, 4.3 µmZero-dispersion Wavelength: 800 to 1000 nmNonlinear Coefficient: 10, 90 1/W*kmOptical Loss: <30, <100 dB/kmCut off Wavelength: 650, 1000 nmApplications: Supercontinuum Generating Using Ti-sapphire or Yb-doped Ultra-fast Lasers

Fiber 8-1000 µm; Standard Length 2 or 1 m; SMA terminatorsAvantes provides a diverse selection of fiber-optic cables, available in various lengths and configurations to suit your specific needs.Fiber-Optic CablesAvantes offers a wide range of fiber-optic cables, which can be manufactured in different lengths and configurations to meet your requirements. For most applications, a 2-meter length is sufficient, making it our standard fiber length.Avantes provides SMA-905 or FC/PC connectors, which can be the same or different on both ends. For certain applications, special round-to-linear fiber cables are recommended. These cables have a bundle of fibers arranged in a round pattern on one end and a linear array on the other. The linear array (typically 1mm in height) aligns with the spectrometer slit height, also 1mm, maximizing light throughput for high-sensitivity applications. Fiber-optic cable types and diameters are recommended based on the wavelength range and sensitivity required for a measurement. Generally, different fiber types are classified as follows: for the UV range, high OH UV/VIS fiber is used. For measurements below 240 nm in the UV, special high OH UV/VIS fiber called solarization-resistant fiber (SR) is available. For longer wavelengths, low OH VIS/NIR fiber is recommended. Our standard broadband fiber combines the performance of UV, UV-SR, and IR fibers, offering the best of both worlds.Depending on application requirements, Avantes offers various jacketing options, including Kevlar-reinforced PVC sleeving with PTFE inner tubing (Standard), heavy industrial chrome-plated brass mono-coil, stainless steel (BX), silicone-coated stainless steel mono-coil (MS), flexible chrome-plated brass outer jacket with hooked profile (ME), and other special jacketings upon request. For high-temperature applications, special high-temperature epoxy (HT) is available and should be specified at the time of order.Recommended wavelengths for different cables:200-2500 nm: UV/VIS/NIR (UVIR)UV/IR available in core sizes 100, 200,400, 600 μm200-800 nm: Solarization-resistant (-SR)250-800 nm: UV/VIS (UV)350-2500 nm: VIS/NIR (IR)Multi-Furcated Fiber-Optic CablesFor simultaneous multi-point measurements and use with Avantes multi-channel spectrometers, multi-furcated fiber-optic cables are essential. These assemblies can function as either a combiner or splitter of light, featuring multiple legs on one side that converge into a single connector on the opposite side. Avantes offers virtually any combination possible, tailored to meet your specific requirements.Typical setups that require multi-furcated cables are:Various types of connectors, jacketings, and fibre sizes are available for these multi-furcated fiber cables.
