Labsphere’s Permaflect® large-area, grey and white, reference diffuse reflectance targets are ideal for accurately assessing short-range and long-range sensitivity over the dynamic range of LiDAR systems.

For imaging applications your grey target solution must work for a wide variety of lighting environments and still maintain its appearance. Most importantly it has to have uniform spectral response. It also must be thermally and physically durable, UV light stable, thermally color stable, no gloss, no polarization and no fluorescence.

If your grey target solutions do not meet these requirements, you need Permaflect diffuse reflectance targets. Permaflect targets are available for individual purchase in three sizes: 0.5 x 0.5, 1.0 x 1.0, 1.5 x 1.5 or 1.2 x 2.4 m, unframed and with or without mounting. Available reflectance factors are 5%, 10%, 18%, 50%, 80% and 94%.

Permaflect diffuse reflectance targets are also available in Labsphere's LiDAR Test Target Kits, including three reflectance levels; 10%, 50% and 80%, a robust case that holds all three Permaflect targets for storage and transport, and spectral reflectance and uniformity test reports. The kits come in a choice of three target sizes; 0.5 x 0.5, 1.0 x 1.0 and 1.5 x 1.5 m.

AIP/PIP/MIP/FIP/SIP Configurable Line Infrared Detection Modules
Frequency Bandwidth up to 0.25, 1 GHz; Low Cut-off Frequency DC-10 kHz; High Cut-off Frequency 100 kHz-1 GHz; Transimpedance 0.5-200 kV/A; Output Impedance 50 Ω; Output Voltage Swing ±1-±10 V Vigo System’s AIP, PIP, MIP, FIP and SIP configurable line series of infrared (IR) detection modules integrate the infrared photodetector and the preamplifier in a common package. This integration makes the detectors less vulnerable to over-bias, electrostatic discharge, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and other environmental exposures. Additional advantages of the integration are improved high-frequency (HF) performance, output signal standardization, miniaturization, and cost reduction. Vigo System’s broad line of transimpedance preamplifiers is especially designed for integration with each type of the supplier’s IR detectors. The configurable line of modules enables the selection of the active area, type of preamplifier and bandwidth of the detection module. This makes it possible to adapt the module to the needs of your own application. To obtain the most optimal parameters of integrated module each preamplifier is individually matched to the selected detector. The parameters of each integrated set will be known after final evaluation (matching, adjustment and final tests). If you need any assistance in selecting Vigo System products that are appropriate for your application, please contact the AMS Technologies IR detector specialists. Vigo System’s AIP series is a new generation of transimpedance, AC or DC coupled preamplifiers. It is designed to operate with either biased or non-biased Vigo System detectors. AIP is „all‑in-one” device – a preamplifier is integrated with a fan and a thermoelectric cooler controller in a compact housing. It is very convenient and user‑friendly device, thus can be easily used in a variety of applications. AIP series modules can be equipped with thermoelectrically cooled models of the PC, PCI, PV, PVI, PVM and PVMI IR detector series. Vigo System’s PIP series comprises programmable, “smart” preamplifiers, offering extreme flexibility combined with superior signal parameters and high reliability. A built-in voltage monitor allows to check and optimize the working conditions (supply voltages, detector bias voltage, first and last stage output voltage offset etc.). It is also possible to change the gain, coupling (AC/DC), optimize the first stage transimpedance and manually or automatically suppress the voltage offset. Optimized parameters are stored into the internal EEPROM memory and automatically loaded after the power is on. Reset to default settings is available at any time. For proper operation, the PTCC-01 TEC controller is required. PIP series modules can be equipped with thermoelectrically cooled models of the PC, PCI, PV, PVI, PVM and PVMI IR detector series. Vigo System’s MIP series provides medium-size transimpedance, DC or AC coupled preamplifiers, intended to operate with either biased or non-biased Vigo System IR detectors. MIP series modules are equipped with a fan, do not require any additional external heatsink and are one of the most user-friendly preamplifier series which surely facilitates work. MIP series modules can be equipped with thermoelectrically cooled models of the PC, PCI, PV, PVI, PVM and PVMI IR detector series. Vigo System’s FIP series of high-speed transimpedance, AC-coupled preamplifiers is intended to operate with the biased, TE-cooled IR detector models of Vigo System’s PV and PVI series. Thi series’ fast preamplifier enables precise I-V conversion, detector biasing up to 800 mV and simultaneously maintains compact size and keeps current noise low. FIP series modules are equipped with a fan and do not require additional heat dissipation. They are suitable for applications requiring wide frequency bandwidth. An additional DC output is available as an option. Vigo System’s SIP series of ultra-small transimpedance, AC- or DC-coupled preamplifiers is designed to operate with either biased or non-biased detectors. It is compatible with uncooled IR detectors (in TO39 package, SIP-TO39) or thermoelectrically cooled IR detectors (in TO8 package, SIP-TO8) of the PC, PCI, PV, PVI, PVM and PVMI series. SIP series modules are dedicated for OEM applications, require external heatsinks and provide a possibility to adjust gain (devices with a frequency bandwidth up to 100 MHz). QMMJ High Power MM Patch Cables
Multi Mode Patchcords; 200 to 2000 nm; Fiber Type MM High Power; Optional Cooling Fins OZ Optics’ QMMJ series of multi mode fiber optic patchcords is specifically designed for high-power applications. These patchcords feature special high-power multi mode fibers, carefully prepared fiber endfaces and specially designed fiber optic connectors to ensure maximum power handling for your application. In standard connectors the fibers are glued into place, and the fiber is polished flush with the connector ferrule tip. When used with high power lasers, heat generated at the tip of the fiber causes the surrounding epoxy to break down and give off gases. These gases, in turn, burn onto the tip of the fiber, causing catastrophic damage to the fiber and perhaps the entire system. In contrast, OZ Optics’ high-power connectors feature an air-gap design, where the fiber extends into free space by 1.1 to 1.5 mm, providing an epoxy-free region where thermal energy is safely dissipated without burning the surrounding material. OZ Optics offers an adjustable focus feature in both SMA and FC connector designs to allow optimum coupling efficiency, which is critical in high power applications. A unique feature of the adjustable focus connector design is that one can adjust the distance the ferrule and fiber protrudes from the connector housing. The connector also has a built-in residual spring mechanism that allows one to safely connect two fibers together. Our engineers have extensive working knowledge with both continuous output (CW) and pulsed laser applications and can help you select the best system for your application. Please contact AMS Technologies for further assistance. PMJ PM Patch Cables
Polarization Maintaining; 480 to 1625 nm; Fiber Type PANDA, others; Insertion Loss ≤0.4 to ≤1.5 dB; Operating Temperature Range -20 to +70 °C OZ Optics’ PMJ series of polarization maintaining (PM) patchcords are based on a high precision butt-style connection technique. The PM axis orientation is maintained by using male connectors with a positioning key and a bulkhead female receptacle with a tightly toleranced keyway, ensuring good repeatability in extinction ratios and insertion losses. The polarization axis of a fiber is aligned with the connector key by rotating either the connector frame or the fiber itself until the polarization axis is in line with keyway of the connector. Once the fiber is correctly aligned, the alignment can be fixed with a drop of glue or epoxy. OZ Optics minimizes backlash and rotational errors in the PM axis alignment by using specially designed PM ferrules and connector housings.Patchcords are normally offered pre-aligned and referenced with the slow axis aligned to the connector key for optimum coupling efficiency and extinction ratios. Non-angled FC PM connectors are also available unaligned and unlocked (rotatable) for lab use. Unless otherwise specified, pre-aligned patchcords are oriented such that the slow axis of the fiber is aligned with the key of the connector and locked. These patchcords maintain polarization to better than 20 dB. Higher extinction ratios are available upon request. In general, OZ Optics uses polarization maintaining fibers based on the PANDAfiber structure when building polarization maintaining components and patchcords. However OZ Optics can construct devices using other PM fiber structures, including 80 µm cladding sizes. If necessary, OZ Optics is willing to use customer supplied fibers to build devices. OZ Optics uses a 2.00 mm housing key for its standard FC/PC PM connector design. This is known also as a type “R” keywidth. Also available are FC/PC connectors with a 2.14 mm housing key (Type “N”). Sleeve through adaptors are available to connect same size keys or to convert from a 2.00 mm to a 2.14 mm key connector. In addition to patchcords and sleeve through adaptors, OZ Optics provides male PM connectors and ferrules for fiber termination, bulkhead receptacles to attach fibers to devices as well as ferrules for different fiber sizes. Key Features: Terminations Available: FC/PC, SC, ST, LC, MU, E2000 Custom Ferrule Terminations Available High Extinction Ratios (20 dB to 40 dB) Low Insertion Losses (<0.2 dB typ.)
