MBL 1500A Laser Diode Drivers and TEC Temperature Controllers
Product information "MBL 1500A Laser Diode Drivers and TEC Temperature Controllers"
Output Current LD 1.5 A; Output Current TEC ±4 A; Benchtop or Rack Mount; Compatible with Butterfly Type 1 & Type 2 Lasers; Current Stability <0.1%
Maiman Electronics’ MBL1500A laser diode driver and TEC Temperature Controllers is designed for driving laser diodes in both Type 1 (Pump) and Type 2 (Telecom) 14-pin butterfly packages. The MBL1500A benchtop format drivers include a high stability (0.01 mА) current source for the laser diode and a thermoelectric Peltier cooler (TEC). The laser diode mount is also included on-board with an Azimuth ZIF socket, compatible with Type 1 and Type 2 pinouts of 14-pin butterfly laser diodes.
The laser diode driver channel provides current of up to 1.5 A with not more than 10 to 15 µA of noise. The TEC driver channel provides a temperature change from +12 to +40 °C with a stability of 0,01 °C. In addition, the TEC channel contains an integrated self-adjusted PID controller, keeping the temperature of the Peltier element with high precision within ±0,01 °C.
The MBL1500A driver can be controlled from the front panel using buttons and/or touchscreen or remotely via USB. With these features, MBL1500A is an excellent choice for laboratory test set-ups and has all the necessary protections for safe operation of laser diodes.
