FL500 Laser Diode Drivers

Product information "FL500 Laser Diode Drivers"

Output Current LD 0.5 A; PCB Mount; Compatible with Type A & B Lasers

Wavelength Electronics’ FL500 series of component type surface mount laser diode drivers is ideal for driving low power laser diodes where low noise is critical. Low leakage current (150 µA) makes it ideal for driving most VCSELs. The FL500 series laser diode drivers operate from 3 to 12 V, so they are compatible with Li+ battery operation. FL500 drivers can be configured as two totally independent 250 mA drivers or a single 500 mA driver and are compatible with Type A or B laser diodes. Because of their small size and low noise, the series is often used in handheld devices and spectroscopy systems.

The base unit operates in constant current (CC) mode. The only external components required are a power supply, an analog control voltage, your laser and optional filtering circuitry. For additional features, including current limit and photodiode feedback for constant power operation, use the FL591FL evaluation board with controller.

Free, effective and responsive technical support is available to simplify integration of Wavelength products into your OEM design. Standard products can be easily modified to meet your application requirements. Get in touch with the AMS Technologies laser diode driver experts to discuss your customized solution!

NOA 84 Optical Adhesive 1oz bottle
Refractive Index 1.46; 40-75 cps Viscosity at 25°C Norland Optical Adhesive NOA 84 is a clear, colorless, liquid photopolymer that will cure when exposed to ultraviolet light and or visible light (blue-violet). Since it is a one part system and 100% solids, it offers many advantages in bonding where the adhesive can be exposed to UV light. The use of NOA 84 eliminates premixing, drying or heat curing operations common to other adhesive systems. Curing time is remarkably fast, and is dependent upon the thickness applied and the amount of ultraviolet light energy available.NOA 84 is designed to give the best possible optical bond when using plastic to plastic or plastic to glass substrates. NOA 84 has excellent adhesion to CR-39, polarized film, Delrin®, nylon, cellulose acetatebutyrate, polycarbonate, acrylics and glass.Typical Properties of NOA 84 Solids 100% Elongation at Failure 57% Modulus of Elasticity (psi) 1140 Tensile Strength (psi) 649 Hardness - Shore D 55 Shelf life of the liquid is at least 4 months from the date of shipment if stored in a cool (5-22° C), dark place in the original container. If refrigerated, allow the adhesive to come to room temperature prior to use.
