DWC SM Couplers & Combiners

Product information "DWC SM Couplers & Combiners"

Single Mode Couplers & Combiners, Dual Window, Standard / Mini Size; 1310 or 1550 nm; Coupling Ratio 1/99 to 50/50; Directivity ≥55 dB; Fiber Type SMF-28e, others

LightComm Technology’s series of dual window couplers (DWC) is built with asymmetric coupling technique. The operating bandwidth of the normal couplers is expanding to ±40nm, while the ultra broadband coupler is expanding to ±80nm. The DWC coupler has the same coupling ratio on both 1310 nm and 1550 nm communication windows, and with low excess loss and low PDL. DWC couplers are widely used for communication systems, CATV, and FTTH. The mini size DWC is designed for compact optical modules and communication systems.

Key Features:

  • Low Excess & Insertion Loss
  • Standard & Mini Size
  • Low PDL
  • Dual Operating Window
  • High Stability and Reliability

Applications: Optical Communication Systems; CATV; FTTH; Mini Size EDFAs; Mini Size Transmitter/Receiver Modules; Optical Communication Systems; Testing Instruments

Beamsplitters and Dichroic Filters
Together with our supplier Vortex, we are able to provide optical beamsplitters and dichroic filters that are placed in optical systems usually at 45° to separate (or combine) different wavebands or wavelengths. One band is reflected from the front surface, while the 2nd band is transmitted through. Vortex’s beamsplitters and dichroic filters can be used to separate different planes of polarization. Some examples of Vortex’s previous work: Beamsplitter for Visible Region to Split/Combine Two Wavelength Bands, 45° Beamsplitter to Separate Two Wavelength Bands in the Mid IR Region at 45° Mid IR Filter Used for Separating S and P Polarization Bands at 45° Polarizing Beam-Splitter for S and P Polarization for 1550 nm Laser at 45° Filter for Separation of Visible and Far Infrared at 45° We are happy to provide a unique beamsplitter or dichroic filter – designed, specified and manufactured to your application’s requirements. Contact the AMS Technologies experts today to discuss your customized beamsplitter or dichroic filter solution!
