DBR Single Frequency Laser Diodes

Product information "DBR Single Frequency Laser Diodes"

632, 633 nm; Typ. Linewidth 1.0 MHz; Max. Output Power 10 mW CW; Threshold Current ≤120 mA; Slope Efficiency 0.4 W/A; Side Mode Suppression Ratio ≥30 dB

Toptica eagleyard’s DBR series of distributed Bragg grating (DBR) laser diodes contains a multi-section laser with gain, phase and distributed feedback (DFB) sections. DBR series laser diodes feature a built-in wavelength-selective grating stabilizing the wavelength

The DBR series’ resonator comprises a periodic structure. Thus, the devices operate on a single resonator mode emitting quasi-monochromatic radiation with a very small line width and low phase noise. The lasers can have very low-intensity noise because of the lack of mode partition noise. Due to the Gaussian mode the output is diffraction-limited..

Special variants are available, especially suitable for spectroscopy with mode‐hop free operation and small linewidth guaranteed at the specified target wavelength for spectroscopic applications – these laser diodes are reaching the target wavelength by temperature tuning and allow wavelength tuning around this target wavelength.

Manufacturer "TOPTICA eagleyard"
TOPTICA eagleyard started as a spin-off from the Ferdinand-Braun Institut (FBH) in 2002. The core competence is the development, production and sale of innovative high-power laser diodes based on GaAs (Gallium Arsenide). Its portfolio contains laser diodes with wavelengths ranging from 630 nm to 1120 nm (DFB-lasers, tapered lasers, ridge waveguide lasers and broad area lasers). These laser diodes are addressing a variety of applications such as aerospace and defense, spectroscopy, medical instrumentation, test & measurement and material analysis.

AutoStrip II Window Stripping Unit
Automated, Mid-span; Window Strip Length 2-150 mm; Fiber Coating Diameter ≤1,000 µm; Fiber Cladding 125-400 µm; Pulling Speed 20-100 mm/min The AutoStrip II is designed for fast, chemical free window stripping of optical fibers. Utilizing SAE Technologies’ patented “Burst Technology™”, this system accomplishes the often difficult task of window stripping fibers with acrylate coating diameters up to 1,000 µm. The AutoStrip II automated, mid-span window stripping unit meets the need for variable window strip lengths at high strength and ultra cleanliness. The proven Burst Technology™ method instantly vaporizes the fiber coating. The result is a clean, stripped fiber at substantially higher strength than any mechanical stripping method. The fiber is free of debris at 400x magnification. Equipped with a built-in, high-force fiber tensile tester, the AutoStrip II system can pull the fiber up to 20 N (235 kpsi). To ensure high quality, repeatability and high production yield, all critical processes and parameters such as stripping distance, burst temperature, burst speed, and strength test are controlled automatically by a built-in microprocessor. The AutoStrip II can be used as a stand-alone unit or integrated into different sub-systems. The use of chemicals for high-strength fiber stripping is now a thing of the past!
