Avantes’ AvaSpec StarLine family of instruments is comprised of high-performance spectrometers which exceed the demands of most general spectroscopy applications. Providing excellent price-to-performance ratios, the AvaSpec StarLine series includes high-speed instruments for process control, high-resolution instruments for demanding applications like atomic emission measurements and versatile instruments for common applications such as irradiance and absorbance chemistry.
The AvaSpec StarLine instruments are fully integrated with Avantes' modular platform, allowing them to function as both stand-alone and multi-channel instruments. These products are fully compatible with other AvaSpec instruments in the AvaSpec SensLine and AvaSpec NIRLine.
The entire AvaSpec StarLine is available as an individual lab instrument, as well as an OEM module for integration into customers' existing systems. The AvaSpec-ULS2048 with CCD sensor is the workhorse of Avantes’ spectrometer line-up. Used in many applications in the UV/VIS range, it is particularly useful in time-critical situations thanks to its exceptional response speed. Connection with your PC is done via USB2-connection, delivering a scan every 1.8 ms.
A close cousin to the AvaSpec-ULS2048 but with almost four times larger pixels is the AvaSpec-ULS2048L. It gives you twice the signal-to-noise ratio and 40% less dark noise, providing enhanced sensitivity at an affordable price.
With its 3,648-pixel CCD sensor, the AvaSpec-ULS3648 provides high resolution for demanding applications. Featuring an electronic shutter, it can support integration times as short as 10 µs, making it ideal for CW laser measurements, among others.
The AvaSpec-FAST series of instruments is especially designed for high-speed acquisitions, such as pulsed light source and laser measurements. Up to 5,637 spectra can be stored at 0.20 ms per scan using Avantes' unique store-to-RAM functionality. The AvaSpec-FAST series is available in five different configurations with 350 to 1,650 active pixels.
Avantes’ AvaSpec-ULS2048L-EVO spectrometer with CCD sensor features USB3.0 communication with 10 times higher speed compared to USB2 as well as a Gigabit Ethernet port for integration in your company network and possibility for long distance communication.
AvaSpec-ULS2048CL-EVO and AvaSpec-ULS4096CL-EVO spectrometers are based on CMOS arrays instead of the conventional CCD technology and are able to measure wavelengths from 200 to 1100 nm with resolutions of 2,048 or 4,096 pixels respectively. These versatile devices include fast USB3.0 communication and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Sometimes a single channel spectrometer is not enough, for example when you want higher resolution, more precise measurements over a broad range or to perform several redundant measurements at the same time for process control purposes. The AvaSpec dual channel spectrometers are designed specifically for this purpose, and if you need even more channels, Avantes’ AvaSpec multi-channel spectrometers fulfil your every need. Each spectrometer can be configured independently – you can select the right option from Avantes’ range of detectors, choose different slits and gratings. Please contact AMS Technologies to configure the perfect solution for your application.
Suited for various measurements in the complete UV/VIS/NIR range of 200 to 1700 nm, the AvaSpec-UV/VIS/NIR versatile broadband spectrometer comes in one package, no separate units necessary. The first channel of this dual spectrometer is based on Avantes’ AvaSpec-ULS2048L, the second channel on the Avaspec-NIR256-1.7 (uncooled version), both with replaceable slit option.
For customers with urgent needs and general flexibility in their specifications, Avantes keeps a variety of preconfigured spectrometers in stock so they are readily available within a significantly decreased shipping time. Out of the seven available models, five are configured to be used for measurements in the UV-VIS-NIR range (200 to 1100 nm), one for the VIS-NIR range (360 to 1100 nm), and one just for the visible range (360 to 880 nm). All preconfigured spectrometers are available at discount pricing (as opposed to custom models) and include an upgrade to AvaSoft-Full.
Looking for a more compact solution? Avantes offers a line of small preconfigured spectrometers from their AvaSpec CompactLine as well.
Accessories for the AvaSpec StarLine series of spectrometers includes slit kits to fully utilize your AvaSpec StarLine series spectrometer with the replaceable slit option installed, available in SMA, SMA/FCPC and FC/PC versions, as well as a wide range of cables to connect your AvaSpec spectrometer to an AvaLight series light source or one of Avantes’ many accessories like fiber optic switches, AvaTrigger, etc.
