Press Release: AMS Technologies Strengthens Leadership Team to Drive Future Growth
AMS Technologies, a leading solution provider and distributor specializing in optical technologies, thermal management, and power electronics, announces strategic changes and additions to its leadership team to position the company for continued growth and innovation. In addition to expanding its distribution business, AMS Technologies will increasingly support customers with system integration, custom solutions, and contract manufacturing.
Dr. Maik Frede, who joined AMS Technologies in early 2024 through the acquisition of laser manufacturer neoLASE GmbH, has been appointed Vice President Engineering. In this role, he will consolidate the development of customized solutions, leveraging his extensive experience in the design and series production of specialized laser systems. With his expertise, AMS Technologies can now deliver complete photonic systems comprising lasers, amplifiers, control and regulation technologies, and tailored thermal management solutions.
Michael Lee will succeed Klaus Maier as Vice President Sales, who will retire in the second half of 2025 after a transitional period. Lee will bring his extensive experience to drive sales growth and deepen customer relationships.
Christoph Schelzke has been promoted to Vice President Operations. He will continue to oversee purchasing, supply chain management, quality management, production, logistics, and customer service. Under his leadership, AMS Technologies will enhance its internal processes and further advance initiatives in certifications and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance. Contract manufacturing — the specialized production of subsystems in photonics, optomechanics, and thermal management — will also become a greater focus for the company.
Tomasz Stefańczyk, previously Head of Engineering, has been appointed Director of Digital Transformation. In his new role, he will lead the enhancement of internal digital processes and lay the groundwork for comprehensive data analysis, reflecting the critical role of digitalization in the company’s future success.
The leadership team reports to Jan Meise, CEO, and Philipp Weber, CFO/COO, who continue to drive AMS Technologies' strategic growth, including through mergers and acquisitions.
