Blue Sky Research’s SpectraTec II dual laser sources is a highly integrated fiber optic system comprised of two temperature controlled lasers with individual driving, control and stability electronics, and one single mode, Polarization Maintaining Fibers optic pigtail output.
In addition to the SpectraTec II systems, the SpectraTec series of laser sources include the SpectraTec X series of multi-wavelength laser sources for up to four wavelengths as well as the SpectraTec RGB series of white light laser sources.
SpetraTec II systems feature all fiber technology for combining multiple lasers and simultaneously maintaining polarization. Designed for life sciences instrumentation where precision, stability and reliability are of critical importance, the SpectraTec II series provides a highly stable, dual-wavelength, laser-based illumination source which never needs alignment. Laser wavelengths available include violet, blue, green, red and IR (405 to 980 nm).
The SpectraTec II two wavelength laser modules include beam shaping of the output from the fiber and real time power feedback module (FFC – Fiber Feedback Collimator). There is an extensive range of electronic functionality available through the 25-pin interface connector. Complete control and interrogation of the module status is available to you. The Fiber Feedback Collimator (FFC) provides precision beam shaping or beam focusing, and real time power feedback to the control circuits. Power Stability of <0.5% under normal operating conditions is achieved using this technique.
This system leverages Blue Sky Research’s extensive experience in precision fiber coupling of laser diodes providing the highest degree of fiber coupling stability. This results in systems that have near perfect laser beam co-linearity and beam stability enabling the design of instruments and systems with high stability and reliability.
Custom configurations are available and include wavelength options ranging from 405 to 980 nm, various power levels, OEM specific collimation or relay optics, multi mode lasers and multi mode (MM) fibers and various cabling and fiber connector types.
