RTS125+ Fiber Optic Distributed Strain and Temperature Measurement Systems

Product information "RTS125+ Fiber Optic Distributed Strain and Temperature Measurement Systems"

8 Channels; 16,384 Sensors; Total Sensing Length 104 m; Spatial Resolution 1.6 mm; Temperature Measurement Range -270 to +1,200 °C

Sensuron’s RTS125+ series of fully ruggedized, compact fiber optic sensing system delivers reliable measurements in today’s most demanding environments. Distributed sensing capabilities make it possible to measure different parameters using a single system. This simplifies the collection and monitoring of diverse measurements. Its compact size, robust enclosure and increased efficiency make it an appealing choice for demanding installations with stringent limitations on physical space and power consumption. By combining data from multiple fibers, the technology can provide 3D visualization of shape and strain.RTS125+ can simultaneously measure strain, temperature, deflection, 3D shape positioning and more—making vast amounts of data available in real time. In today’s world, success is increasingly predicated on the ability of an organization to obtain and interpret large quantities of data. The RTS125+ allows engineers across industries to gather the data they want, not just the data they can get.The RTS125+ hardware sensing system is about the size of a loaf of bread. Weighing just 13 pounds, the system is ideal for use in numerous applications where weight and power consumption are key factors. The RTS125+ processes information at rates up to 100 times per second, representing a 20-fold improvement over existing technologies. The sensing system can derive key measurements in addition to strain and temperature, including 3D shape, deflection, pressure, strength, stiffness (bending and torsion), liquid level, and operational load. The RTS125+ offers unprecedented levels of data intensity – each 13 m hair-like optical fiber provides up to 2,000 data points with adjustable spatial resolution.

Manufacturer "Sensuron"
Sensuron’s ground-breaking distributed sensing technology provides engineers with a powerful, robust and easy-to-use tool for structural testing, design optimization, structural health monitoring, thermal mapping and 2D/3D shape sensing. Unlike strain gauges and thermocouples, which only capture data at a discrete point, Sensuron interrogators monitor strain and temperature distributions by transforming an optical fiber into a spatially continuous sensor that performs like thousands of strain gauges or thermocouples installed adjacent to one another. This allows our customers to capture significantly more data than traditional sensors, with less instrumentation – saving them measurable time and labor costs.

BS Benchtop Optical Switch Solutions
Non-latching; 1x2, 2x2, 1x4, 1x8; Fiber Type SM, MM; 1240 to 1650 nm; Insertion Loss 1.0 to 2.0 dB; Crosstalk 50 dB; Switching Time 1 ms Sercalo Microtechnology’s BS series are all optical switch solutions for demanding applications in fiber optic instrumentation or communication. The benchtop instrument can switch up to two input fibers to any of up to eight output fibers, independently of data format, wavelength or optical power. The BS series optical switches are available either for single mode (SM) or multi mode (MM) fibers. The optical connections are set by a MEMS based switch network, where micromachined silicon mirrors redirect light to the selected ports. The use of MEMS technology offers solid state reliability together with long term stability and robustness for stable operation. The switch is controlled over an USB connection which also acts as power supply. BS series switches are built using Sercalo Microtechnology’s Telcordia-qualified MEMS technology, which achieves superior reliability and repeatability when compared to traditional mechanical solutions. The switches are fully bi-directional and transparent to the full wavelength range of the installed fiber. When several input fibers are required, the switch architecture can be either blocking or non-blocking. In the blocking architecture when one input is set, the other inputs can only be set to a limited number of “free” ports. In the non-blocking architecture there is no such limitation. Any of the input ports can go to any of the free output ports. But the complexity of the non-blocking architecture is much higher. Key Features: Reliable Low Insertion Loss: Superior Repeatability Single Mode (SM) or Multi Mode (MM) Fibers CE Compliant Applications: Fiber Optic Telecom and Datacom; Fiber Optic Test and Measurement
