MJ Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 105-250 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 3-30 kVDC; Max. Power 15 W; Voltage Regulation <0.005%; Current Regulation <0.1%
XP Glassman’s MJ Series of 15 W high voltage AC/DC power supplies are air-insulated, fast-response, chassis-mount units with tight regulation and low arc discharge currents. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 3 kVDC through 0 to 30 kVDC.
The MJ Series’ current regulation is unequalled in a module of this price range. For example, the regulation from short circuit to rated voltage for the 15 kV, 1 mA model is ±500 nA. Overload, short circuit and arc protection is provided by automatic current regulation and by careful surge limiting design. XP Glassman’s “Air Insulated” designs are completely serviceable, these modules are not epoxy block “throw-away” power supplies.
The MJ Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current with less than 200 mJ of stored energy for most models. A “multi-mode” operation mode permits maximum user flexibility. Local voltage or current control is user selectable, and the MJ Series power supplies feature remote voltage and/or current control via 0 to +10 V signal or potentiometers. External interlock terminals allow enable/disable of the power supply via TTL signal.
Standard accessories for the MJ Series include a detachable 2,4 m shielded output cable and mating control connector.
The MJ Series supplies with 230 VAC input option (198 to 253 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz) are fully compliant with the following European directives:
EN61000-3-2, Line Harmonics
EN61010/ IEC61010, Safety

ML Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 90-264 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 8-60 kVDC; Max. Power 300 W; Efficiency 85%; Voltage Regulation <0.005%; Current Regulation <0.1% of Rated Current
XP Glassman’s ML Series of 300 W high voltage AC/DC power supplies are air-insulated, fast-response, chassis-mount units with tight regulation and extremely low arc discharge currents. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 8 kVDC through 0 to 60 kVDC.
The ML Series is a family of sophisticated, medium-power, high voltage AC/DC power supplies that complies with current international safety and EMI directives. XP Glassman has packaged this series as a space-saving module to avoid the expense of front panels and displays. However, no compromises in performance and/or operating features have been made. The result is a power supply series that offers outstanding value for a wide range of demanding applications.
The ML Series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. No oil or encapsulation is used which would impede serviceability or increase weight. The ML Series also features high-speed dynamic voltage regulation – for load transients of 10% to 99% and 99% to 10%, the output voltage will recover to within 1% in less than 1 ms. Ripple is less than 0.05% of rated voltage at full load, and most models exhibit less than 1 J of stored energy.
Automatic crossover from constant-voltage to constant-current regulation provides protection against overloads, arcs, and short circuits. Current mode operation is user-configured for constant-current regulation or current-trip operation. Continuous, stable adjustment from 0 to rated voltage or current is provided by panel-mounted 10-turn potentiometer with 0.05% resolution or by external 0 to 10 V signals.
All ML Series supplies are fully RoHS compliant (2011/65/EU, Restriction of the use of hazardous substances). The ML Series supplies with 230 VAC input option (198 to 253 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz) are fully compliant with the following European directives:

MQ Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 102-264 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 1-60 kVDC; Max. Power 300 W; Efficiency >85%; Voltage Regulation <0.005% + 0.5 mV/mA; Current Regulation <0.1%
XP Glassman’s MQ Series of 300 W high voltage AC/DC power supplies feature flexible embedded controls with low ripple and noise. They are air insulated, fast response, chassis-mount units with tight regulation and extremely low arc discharge currents. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 1 kVDC through 0 to 60 kVDC.
The MQ Series is a family of sophisticated, medium-power, high voltage AC/DC power supplies that complies with current international safety and EMI directives. XP Glassman has packaged this series as a space-saving module to avoid the expense of front panels and displays. However, no compromises in performance and/or operating features have been made. The result is a power supply series that offers outstanding value for a wide range of demanding applications.
The MQ series features “air” as the primary dielectric medium. No oil or encapsulation is used which would impede serviceability or increase weight. Internal circuitry constantly senses and integrates arcs that occur over a given time. In the event a system or load arcing problem develops and exceeds factory-set parameters, the power supply will cycle off in an attempt to clear the fault and then automatically restart after a preset “off dwell time”. The MQ Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to help extinguish the arc.
Ripple is less than 0.025% of rated voltage at full load. Continuous, stable adjustment from 0 to rated voltage or current by panel-mounted 10-turn potentiometer with 0.05% resolution or by external 0 to 10 V signals is provided. Integral RS-232, USB and optional Ethernet communications provide remote control program and monitor. Automatic current regulation provides protection against all overloads, including arcs and short circuits. A connection made on the interface connector allows selection of either constant-current or current-trip operation.
Standard accessories for the MQ Series include a detachable 2,4 m shielded high voltage coaxial output cable, line cord, null modem cable and USB cable.
The MQ Series supplies with 230 VAC input option (198 to 264 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz) are fully compliant with the following European directives:
