Coolants available from Stock
AMS Technologies provides high-performance coolants with low toxicity. These reliable coolants with corrosion and biological inhibitors will not clog components and can typically be used for several years before replacement. The coolants have been tested successfully with a variety of metals and plastics.
Our high-performance coolants are available uncoloured, as well as coloured in UV blue or UV red. They can be ordered in containers ranging from 700 ml bottles to 5,000 ml bulk containers to 10,000 ml bulk containers.
We also offer electrically insulative uncoloured coolant that is used by many industries requiring a low-conductivity (3 µS/cm), low-toxicity, reliable coolant.

A broad range of liquid cooling components is available from AMS Technologies, with liquid-cooled cold plates and fin heat exchangers as key components for reliably cooling power electronics, lasers and batteries when air cooling is simply not enough.
In addition to our range of standard components, both cold plates and heat exchangers are available in various technologies as customer-specific solutions – with thermal and fluid dynamics tailored to your specific requirements. For compatibility with coolant fluids such as glycol-water, tap water, de-ionised water, oil or refrigerants, different materials are used on wetted surfaces.
Liquid to air thermal management assemblies like our range of recirculating chillers, OEM liquid cooling kits and pump stations are the ideal solution when coolants are used to cool laser systems or reagents and drugs in analytical and life science applications or to remove heat from power electronics.
Utilizing either Peltier or compressor technology, our recirculating chillers offer precise temperature control and are available with cooling capacities ranging from 160 W to 120 kW. Our OEM liquid cooling kits are based on inverter-controlled compressor technology and feature compactness, low voltage DC supply, extremely low noise and vibration and/or environmentally friendly refrigerants.
Pump stations are used together with air blast coolers – finned tube heat exchangers – to remove heat from power semiconductors. Main features are utmost reliability due to the unique bullet proof, leak tight manifold block, temperature control via 3-way-valve, short commissioning time, automatic de-aeration and optionally redundant pumps, leakage monitoring or PLC control.
In addition to coolants, AMS Technologies’ range of chemicals includes adhesives and sealants for bonding of optical components as well as high-tech paints and coatings with super water-repellent properties.
Definition
Liquid, gaseous or solid substances or mixtures of substances can serve as coolants in a cooling circuit for the removal of heat. The coolant moves the enthalpy in this circuit along the temperature gradient from a location with a higher temperature (usually a heat source) to a location with a lower temperature (heat sink).
For use in technical processes, water or a mixture of water and additives that reduce the freezing point or inhibit/delay the growth of biological substances in the cooling circuit is predominantly used as the coolant. A high-quality coolant is extremely important for addressing dissimilar metals in the liquid path and long-term biologic growth (bacterial and algae).
In process water cooling, the heated coolant (in this case often pure water) is discharged after a single use. In recirculating cooling, e.g. in recirculating chillers, the coolant flows continuously through a cooling circuit and is used for transporting thermal energy by means of convection.
