FODL Fault Locators
520 to 660 nm; Optical Power 0.5 to 30 mW; CW to 2 kHz; Connector Type Super/Angled NTT-FC/PC, SC, ST, Universal OZ Optics’ FODL series of visible fiber optic fault locators launches 635 nm visible laser diode light into the fiber. When light encounters a break or sharp bend, it scatters, and the scattered light can be observed emerging from the cable. Fault locators can locate breaks in short patchcords, which an OTDR cannot detect due to its operating dead zone. A fault locator is also much less expensive than an OTDR. However, they are not recommended for use with dark-colored or armored cables. Another use for fault locators is to check connector quality – inside the connector ferrule, poor gluing or dirt may create a micro bend in the fiber producing excess insertion or return losses and maybe resulting in premature failure of the connector. Launching visible light through the fiber, so that it emerges from the connector in question, the distortion appears as a series of rings superimposed on a normal output. Fault locators are available in bench-top, pocket and pen format. Pocket size fault locators can be operated in either CW or pulse modulation mode. Pen size fault locators are CW only. High power versions, available as bench-top units, are also CW only. Key Features: Pen, Pocket and Bench-top Versions Available High Visibility (up to 6 km with a 1 mW, 635 nm Source) Higher Output up to 30 mW, Non-contact Style Power Versions Available Continuous Light or Pulse Modulation Power Supply Alkaline Batteries or AC/DC Adapter Carrying Pouch with Belt Clip for Pocket-size Version 1.25 mm and 2.5 mm ID Universal Connector Receptacles Available Applications: Single Mode and Multi Mode Fiber Testing; Fiber Identifier Applications; Locating Breaks and Bends in Fibers and Connectors; Identifying Fibers and Tracing Optical Signals by Using Modulated Signals; Optimizing Splices

Chirped Volume Bragg Gratings
Wavelength 600-2500 nm; Bandwidth 0.2-100 nm; Diffraction Efficiency 5-99%; Thickness Up to 50 mm; Aperture Up to 20x20 mm OptiGrate’s chirped volume Bragg gratings (CBGs) are diffractive optical elements operating as reflecting Bragg gratings with a period gradually varying along direction of beam propagation. This feature results in reflection of different wavelengths from different holographically recorded planes inside the grating. OptiGrate’s BragGrate™ Pulse is the first commercially available Chirped Bragg Grating (CBG) based product designed for the stretching and compression of ultra-short (femtosecond and picosecond) laser pulses in Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA) and other Ultra-Short Pulse Laser (USPL) systems. It is the most compact and robust stretcher/compressor solution for high-energy and high-average-power ultra-short pulsed laser systems. The BragGrate™ Tuner is a reflecting volume Bragg grating with chirped period in one direction across its aperture, recorded in a bulk of photosensitive silicate glass. BragGrate™ Tuners can be used as an output coupler or HR mirror in a laser resonator. It enables both spectral stabilization and tuning of the laser radiation. High laser damage threshold makes these gratings suitable for usage in high-power and high-energy pulsed lasers. Tunable lasers based on these components are simple, compact, and robust. Simple linear translation of grating without angular adjustment is needed for wavelength tuning. Lasers with BragGrate™ Tuners can operate in selective laser melting (SLM) regime. CP10/CP12/CP15 Tubed Cold Plates
Press-Lock Technology; Thermal Performance 0.004 to 0.059 °C/W; Max. Pressure 10 bar; Max. Flow Rate 4, 8 l/min; Straight Fittings Lytron’s CP10/CP12/CP15 series of standard tubed cold plates provide cost-effective thermal solutions for component cooling applications where the heat load is low-to-moderate. These tubed cold plates consist of copper or stainless steel tubes pressed into a channeled aluminum extrusion. The CP10/CP12/CP15 series of tubed cold plates is manufactured using Lytron’s proprietary Press-Lock technology, which mechanically locks the tubes into the aluminum plate. Press-Lock technology eliminates the need for performance-limiting epoxy between the tube and the plate, resulting in superior thermal performance. Compared to similar tubed cold plates, the CP12 cold plate offers 30% better performance and the CP15 offers 40% to 50% better performance. Copper tubes are compatible with water and most other common coolants, while stainless steel tubes (CP10 only) can be used with deionized water or corrosive fluids. Each tubed cold plate has a single tube with no joint, ensuring leak-free operation. The tubes of the CP12 and CP15 cold plates are coplanar with the plate to allow for dual-sided mounting. The cold plate's tube side offers higher performance as the copper tubes are in direct contact with the component being cooled. CP10 models are available with 9.5 mm copper and stainless steel tubes in 2-pass or 4-pass configuration for single-sided mounting. CP12 models are available with 9.5 mm copper tubes in 4-pass configuration for dual-sided mounting. CP15 models are available with 6.4 mm copper tubes in 6-pass configuration for dual-sided mounting. If you can’t find a tubed cold plate that meets your requirements, please get in touch with the AMS Technologies thermal technology experts to discuss your customized solution!
