LightComm Technology’s component-type polarization maintaining (PM) splitters are micro optic devices built with PM Panda fiber. The PM splitters are characterized with good uniformity, low insertion loss, high return loss, high extinction ratio and excellent environmental stability and reliability.

LightComm Technology’s PBS series of polarization maintaining (PM) splitters are micro optic devices that can split one light beam into two polarized outputs with their polarization states orthogonal to each other. The PBS series is the ideal choice for application in EDFA, Raman amplifier, pump lasers, high speed communication systems and optical fiber sensors.

LightComm Technology’s PMS series of polarization maintaining (PM) splitters are 1x2, 2x2, 1x4, 1x8 or 1x16 ports micro optic devices that transmit a signal from one of the inputs to the outputs (2 to 16) while maintaining the polarization of the signal.

LightComm Technology’s PMFS series of polarization maintaining filter splitters are 3 or 4 ports micro optic devices that transmit a signal from one of the inputs to two outputs with various ratios while maintaining the polarization of the signal. There are two types of working axis, one is both axis working and another is fast axis blocked.

FFW-X SM WDMs
Gooch & Housego’s FFW-X wavelength division multiplexers (WDMs) are single mode (SM) optical fiber components and modules. They enable two or three wavelengths to be combined or separated. For the FFW-X series, Gooch &Housego (G&H) utilizes low-loss fused fiber technology – no light leaves the fiber and therefore no alignment is required and there are no unwanted reflections. Furthermore, the output fiber pigtails may be directly integrated into beam delivery systems. These high-performance parts are available in many wavelength configurations (including a duplexing version), fiber and connector options, with standard as well as subminiature packages. They can therefore be readily specified in a wide variety of applications, enabling rapid design cycles and new project builds. Visible Wavelength Combiners:Designed for applications in display systems, sensors and biomedical equipment, G&H’s FFW-xxxxxxxxx single mode visible wavelength fused fiber combiners enable any two or three primary colors in the visible wavelength region to be combined or separated. Visible wavelength combiners are available for either two (red/green, blue/green, red/blue light) or three wavelengths, providing full RGB operation and enabling full color displays. All variants are available on a custom basis, so please contact AMS Technologies to discuss your specific requirements. Near Infrared WDMs:Designed for applications in fiber laser, sensing, biomedical, military and avionics, the FFW-xxxxxxxxx near infrared WDMs enable the low-loss combining or splitting of a pair of wavelengths within the 700 nm to 1199 nm region. G&H can rapidly produce such custom WDMs, with typical minimum wavelength separation of 50 nm. Specific applications could include combining two sensor wavelengths onto one fiber, splitting laser harmonics, or combining wavelengths in fiber lasers. WDMs for 2 µm Operation:Gooch & Housego’s FFW-xxxxxxxxx fused WDMs for 2 µm operation combine multiple wavelengths of light in single mode (SM) fiber whilst maintaining low loss. G&H proprietary manufacturing technology provides low loss with low polarization dependence (PDL). The all-fiber construction offers excellent reliability and high power handling characteristics. These high-performance parts are available in many wavelength configurations, housing, fiber and connector options and can therefore be readily specified in a wide variety of applications, enabling rapid design cycles and new project builds. Duplexing WDMs 1310/1550 nm & 1625 nm (FFW-4xxxx11xx):G&H’s FFW-4xxxx11xx series of duplexing WDMs enable the low-loss combining or splitting of a pair of wavelengths. 1310 nm/C band or 1310 nm/L band components are used to double network bandwidth whilst the 1310/1625 nm component is used to add or drop a supervisory wavelength from a system. G&H proprietary manufacturing technology provides uniquely low excess loss and wavelength dependence along with low polarization and temperature dependence for all ports. In addition to the standard wavelengths, other combinations such as 1550/1625 nm are available. Please contact AMS Technologies with your specific requirements. FFW-X SM Pump Signal WDMsGooch & Housego’s FFW-X single mode (SM) fused pump signal wavelength division multiplexers (WDMs) are used for multiplexing signal and pump power in erbium-doped power amplifiers, pumped by wavelengths from 960 to 1480 nm. Proprietary manufacturing technology provides uniquely low excess loss, along with low polarization and temperature dependence for all ports. The ultra-low loss of these components promotes high efficiency of use of pump power and low noise figure. Fused Pump Signal WDMs 980 nm (FFW-xxxxx2xxx):G&H’s FFW-xxxxx2xxx series of fused pump signal WDMs, 980 nm, multiplex signal and pump power in 980, 960 or 1060 nm-pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. Wavelength configurations allow for 960, 980 or 1060 nm pumping and C, L or C+L signal bands. Reliability is assured through qualification to Telcordia GR-1221, with a field proven FIT rate of <1. Fused Pump Signal WDMs 1480 nm (FFW-3xxxx21xx):The Gooch & Housego FFW-3xxxx21xx series of fused pump signal WDMs, 1480 nm, multiplex signal and pump power in 1480 nm-pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. Wavelength configurations are 1480 nm – C band and 1480 nm – L band. Subminiature Pump Signal WDMs (FFW-5x1xx2xx0):G&H’s FFW-5x1xx2xx0 series of subminiature pump signal WDMs provide low-loss multiplexing of pump and signal in an ultra-short 32 mm length package. Designed for space-constrained optical amplifiers, the product is manufactured using ø80 µm cladding fiber. This enables low fiber bend radius without compromising mechanical integrity.
