Viavi Solutions’ SmartPocket OLS-34/-35/-36/-37/-38 series of pocket-sized and rugged optical light sources is well suited for the installation and maintenance of single mode and multi mode fiber optic networks. The devices offer a laser diode stabilized light source with up to four wavelengths for quick, easy, and convenient field insertion loss measurement and continuity checks at an excellent price/performance ratio. The OLS-3x series are the ideal complementary tools to the OLP-3x series of optical power meters to measure the insertion loss and test the continuity in multi mode datacom and local area networks as well as in single mode telecommunication, FTTH/PON and CATV-multimedia networks. They offer a dedicated and cost-optimized solution for testing and troubleshooting optical fibers in the field. All sources are equipped with Auto-λ and Multi-λ functions compatible with any Viavi Solutions power meter.
