NOA 73 Optical Adhesive 10g syringe

Product information "NOA 73 Optical Adhesive 10g syringe"

Refractive Index 1.56; 130 cps Viscosity at 25°C

Norland Optical Adhesive 73 ("NOA73 10g syringe") is an optically clear, liquid adhesive that quickly cures when exposed to long wavelength ultraviolet light. Since it is a one part system and 100% solids, it offers many advantages for bonding optical elements when the bonding surface can be activated with light energy. The use of NOA 73 eliminates premixing, drying or heat curing operations common to other optical adhesive systems.

NOA 73 has more flexibility than any of our other adhesives and is recommended for bonding delicate parts or parts where stress may be encountered. Its low viscosity gives it excellent flow characteristics which will allow it to give the thinnest possible bond line.

NOA 73 is cured by ultraviolet light, with maximum absorption between 350-380 nanometers. The recommended energy required for full cure is 4 Joules/sq. cm of long wavelength UV light. The cure is not inhibited by oxygen, and hence any areas in contact with air will cure to a non-tacky state.

NOA 81 Optical Adhesive 1oz bottle
Refractive Index 1.56; 300 cps Viscosity at 25°C Norland Optical Adhesive 81 ("NOA81") is a single component liquid adhesive that cures in seconds to a tough, hard polymer when exposed to ultraviolet light. It is recommended as an extremely fast and efficient way to precisely bond optical components or fiber optics. It can be cured in a thin layer between two transparent substrates or applied as a dropto form a bridge between two components. Exposure to UV light quickly cures the adhesive and holds the components in place. The outstanding characteristic of this adhesive is its extremely fast cure. Thin films can be initially set in under 10 seconds and thick films in 20 seconds using the light sources listed below. It is also extremely stable when not exposed to UV light. NOA 81 will not gel up in dispenser tips or cure before you want it to.Typical Properties of NOA 81 Solids 100% Elongation at Failure 25% Modulus of Elasticity (psi) 200,000 Tensile Strength (psi) 4,000 Hardness - Shore D 90 Shelf life of the liquid is at least 6 months from the date of shipment if stored in a cool (5-22° C), dark place in the original container. NOA 61 Optical Adhesive 1 oz bottle
Refractive Index 1.56; 300 cps Viscosity at 25°C Norland Optical Adhesive 61 is a clear, colorless, liquid photopolymer that will cure when exposed to ultraviolet light. Since it is a one part system and 100% solids, it offers many advantages in bonding where the adhesive can be exposed to U.V. light. The use of NOA 61 eliminates premixing, drying or heat curing operations common to other adhesive systems. Curing time is remarkably fast, and is dependent upon the thickness applied and the amount of ultraviolet light energy available. NOA 61 meets Federal Specification MIL-A-3920 for optical adhesives and is approved for use on all government contracts specifying such adhesives. The adhesive is designed to give the best possible optical bond to glass surfaces, metals, fiberglass and glass filled plastics. NOA 61 is recommended for bonding lenses, prisms and mirrors for military, aerospace and commercial optics as well as for terminating and splicing optical fibers.Typical Properties of NOA 61 Solids 100% Elongation at Failure 38% Modulus of Elasticity (psi) 150,000 Tensile Strength (psi) 3,000 Hardness - Shore D 85 Shelf life of the liquid is at least 4 months from the date of shipment if stored in a cool (50C - 220C), dark place in the original container.
