CM97x Single Mode Laser Diode Modules
976, 1030, 1064 nm; Spectral Width 0.15-2 nm; Output Power Peak 0.8-1.5 W; Output Power CW 0.2-0.91 W; Butterfly Package; Threshold Current 40, 60 mA; For the CM97x series of high-power single mode laser diode modules, II-VI Incorporated has applied processes and techniques of coupling the fiber to the laser that allow very high output powers that are stable with both time and temperature. CM97x series laser diode modules in hermetically sealed 10-pin Mini-Butterfly packages utilize a polarization maintaining (PM) fiber pigtail and achieve a high pulse output power of 0.8 to 1.5 W. Five versions of CM97x series single mode laser diode modules are available: The 976 nm wavelength-stabilized module CM97-1000-76PM with fiber Bragg grating (FBG) has been designed as a pump source for industrial pulsed fiber pre-amplifiers as well as for erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) laser applications. The pump module utilizes a PM fiber pigtail and a fiber Bragg grating design for enhanced wavelength and power stability performance. Devices achieve high kink free output powers of 1 W. The pulsed 1064 nm module CM97A1064 without fiber Bragg grating (FBG) has been designed as a light source for pulsed fiber lasers and CW applications that require 1064 nm single mode light. Devices achieve high kink free output powers of 1.5 W pulse peak. The pulsed 1064 nm wavelength-stabilized ultra-broadband module CM97A1064BFBG with fiber Bragg grating (FBG) has been designed as a light source for pulsed fiber laser applications. An ultra-broad bandwidth grating enables a controlled broad spectrum that helps to suppress SBS generation in pulsed fiber lasers. The pulsed 1064 nm wavelength-stabilized narrow-bandwidth module CM97A1064NFBG with fiber Bragg grating (FBG) has been designed as a light source for pulsed narrow bandwidth fiber laser and direct frequency conversion applications. A narrow bandwidth grating located in the polarization maintaining optical fiber close to the package allows for short pulse operation. The 1064 / 1030 nm wavelength-stabilized module CMDFB10xxA has been designed as a light source for pulsed narrow bandwidth fiber laser and direct frequency conversion applications. A distributed feedback grating (DFB) located in the laser cavity results in the wavelength stabilization within couple of round trips. The laser chip and package are optimized for sub-ns pulse operation.
