Refractive Index 1.56; 250 cps Viscosity at 25°C Norland Optical Adhesive 83H ("NOA83H") is a single component liquid adhesive that cures in seconds to a tough, hard polymer when exposed to ultraviolet light. It is recommended as an extremely fast and efficient way to precisely bondoptical components. In addition to UV light, heat can also be usedto cure this one part adhesive.The outstanding characteristic of this material is its extremely fast cure. Thin films can be initially set in under 10 seconds and thick films in 20 seconds using the light sources listed below. It is also extremely stable when not exposed to UV light. LC/PC, LC/APC; Sleeve Zirconia; Quad; Fiber Type SM/MM/PM Optoplast’s series of LC quad adapters are suited for single mode and multi mode applications. Consuming the same footprint as a standard SC Duplex Adapters, LC quad adapters connect any pair of single mode, multi mode or polarization maintaining fiber cable terminated with industry-standard LC/PC or LC/APC connectors and minimize back reflections by bringing the fibers’ cores into physical contact. The housing type is one piece, senior/junior with plastic flange and metal mount plate.  Equipped with standard zirconia (single mode and multi mode) or low-loss zirconia mating sleeves (single mode), these high-quality manufactured adapters reliably align the cores of each terminated fiber, guaranteeing a very low insertion loss. After 500 connections the insertion loss variation stays below 0.10 dB. Variants with metal sleeves instead of ceramic sleeves are available on request.  The body of this series of LC quad adapters is made from plastic (PEI ULTEM UL94V-0), allowing for an operating temperature from -25 to +70 °C. The flanged LC quad adapters incorporate a metal mount plate with two tabs that snap into place when inserted into a panel with a maximum thickness of 1.7 mm. In addition to that they can be attached to panels or L-brackets using screws. On request, the LC quad adapters can also be supplied without metal mount plate.  The LC quad adapters are produced in four standard colors – blue (RAL 5015), light green (RAL 6018), aqua (RAL 6027) and beige (RAL 1013).
