Optical coherence tomography (OCT) has emerged as one of the most successful medical optics technologies ever, offering real-time, high-resolution transverse images for a variety of biomedical and industrial imaging applications. Until recently, the market had been limited to time-domain OCT systems that are slow, expensive, and have limited resolution.
Bayspec’s DeepView™ SD-OCT systems utilize spectral-domain technology (SD-OCT) to offer significant improvements over time-domain approaches: twice the resolution and ~100x image acquisition speed. For the first time, a real-life spectrometer engine based on ruggedized, reliable, affordable optical components is available for SD-OCT system integration.
The DeepView’s flat-field spectral analyzer design is based on highly efficient and robust transmission volume phase gratings (VPGs), simultaneously covering multiple wavelengths for precise and rapid optical coherence tomography measurements. DeepView™ SD-OCT spectrometers mount on an ultra-fast digital line scan camera and are compatible with the world’s leading CCD and InGaAs detector array cameras. AMS Technologies can offer SD-OCT spectral engines in a stand-alone spectrometer format or fully assembled and aligned with the camera of choice.
The DeepView® spectral engine provides convenience for researchers and OEM users assembling Fourier or spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD- OCT), white light interferometry (WLI) or visible to near-infrared (VIS-NIR) spectroscopy systems. The spectral engine accepts single-mode fiber optic inputs and is customizable via grating inserts to match the spectral bandwidth and center wavelength of the users’ light source.
