ET Series High Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Input Voltage 198-264 VAC; Max. Output Voltage 1-60 kVDC; Max. Power 2,000 W; Efficiency >85%; Voltage Regulation <0.005%; Current Regulation <0.1% XP Glassman’s ET Series of 2000 W high voltage AC/DC power supplies feature flexible embedded controls with low ripple and noise. They are air insulated, fast response, 2U rack-mount units with tight regulation and extremely low arc discharge currents. A broad range of models is available with output voltage ranges from 0 to 1 kVDC through 0 to 60 kVDC. ET series power supplies feature “air” as the primary dielectric medium. No oil or encapsulation is used which would impede serviceability or increase weight. Internal circuitry constantly senses and integrates arcs that occur over a given time. In the event a system or load arcing problem develops and exceeds factory-set parameters, the power supply will cycle off in an attempt to clear the fault and then automatically restart after a preset “off dwell time”. The ET Series’ high voltage output is inhibited for a short period after each load arc to help extinguish the arc. Typically, ripple is less than 0.025% RMS of rated voltage at full load. Off-the-line pulse-width modulation (PWM) provides high efficiency and a reduced parts count for improved reliability. Front-panel digital encoders provide high-resolution local adjustment of voltage and current program. Integral RS-232, USB and optional Ethernet communications provide remote control program and monitor. The ET Series’ standard operation mode is constant voltage/current. Automatic crossover from constant-voltage to constant-current regulation provides protection against overloads, arcs and short circuits. A rear panel switch allows selection of either constant-current or current-trip operation. Thermostats and fan RPM sensing shut down the power supply due to over-temperature or reduced fan speeds. Standard accessories for the ET Series include a detachable 2,4 m shielded high voltage coaxial output cable, line cord, null modem cable and USB cable. The ET Series supplies are fully compliant with the following European directives: EN61000-3-2, Line Harmonics EN61010/ IEC61010, Safety EN61000-6-4, Conducted and Radiated Emissions EN61000-6-2:2005, Conducted and Radiated Immunity 2011/65/EU, Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Key Features: 2U Rack Mount Air Insulated Maximum Output Power: 2000 W Maximum Output Voltage: 1 to 60 kVDC Maximum Output Current: 33 to 2000 mA Low Ripple: <0.025% of Rated Voltage + 1 V RMS at Full Load Tight Regulation Static Voltage Regulation: <0.005% for Specified Line and Load Variations Current Regulation: <0.1% From Short Circuit to Rated Voltage at Any Load Condition Constant Voltage/Constant Current Operation Arc Quench & Arc Count Front Panel, Remote, RS232, USB & Optional Ethernet Control Input Voltage: 198 to 264 VAC RMS, 48 to 63 Hz, Single Phase Efficiency: >85% Typical at Full Load Output Voltage Accuracy: 0.5% of Setting + 0.2% of Rated Output Voltage Repeatability: <0.1% of Rated Voltage Maximum Stored Energy: 1.0 to 6.2 J Voltage Monitor: 0 to +10 VDC Signal for 0 to Rated Voltage Current Monitor: 0 to +10 VDC Signal for 0 to Rated Current Stability: 0.01%/h After 0.5 h Warm-up, 0.05% per 8 h Polarity: Positive or Negative Polarity With Respect to Chassis Ground Protection: Against All Overload Conditions, Including Arcs and Short Circuits Signals Provided on the Remote Interface Connector: Safety Interlock, Voltage & Current Program/Monitor, HV Enable, HV Status, Fault Status, +10 V Reference, I/V Mode Status Options: Blank Front Panel, Zero Start Interlock, 0 to 5 V Voltage & Current Program/Monitor, Arc Count and/or Quench, Virtual RS-232 COM Port Over Ethernet Network 3 Year Warranty Approvals: IEC61010-1:2010; EN61000-6-4:2007, Class A EN61000-6-2:2005 Operating Temperature: -20 to +40 °C Dimensions: 88.1 x 482.6 x 558.8 mm Applications: High Voltage, High Power Applications; Photonics; Healthcare (Analytical, Diagnostics, Detectors); Industrial; Semiconductor Manufacturing; Research; Other
