Fiberguide’s fused silica capillary tubing is used for micro-fluidics applications and in gas chromatography (GC) separation columns. These capillaries are coated with polyimide for mechanical stability and versatile uses.

With inert surfaces and high purity, Fiberguide’s capillary tubing solutions provide a very high phase stability, while their peak mechanical stability leads to greater yield and more cost-efficient tubing. Based on the great flexibility combined with high tensile strength (>600 kpsi), these capillary tubing solutions are pressure resistant to 4,500 psi and allow very small radii during coiling with no kinking. They are impervious to chemicals, allowing usage in harsh environments.

A wide range of internal and external diameters with tight tolerances allows users to select a capillary tubing solution that best suits their flow rate requirements. All capillaries can be easily cleaved or cut, allowing to adjust exactly the column length needed for interfacing. While the mirror smooth inner surface provides stable laminar flow profiles and good adherence, the capillary tubing solutions’ Polyimide coating is very durable and abrasion resistant.

Deep UV LCS-Series Collimated LED Light Sources

Output Power 15-35 mW Mightex’s deep UV LCS-Series of collimated LED light sources cover the wavelength range between 240 nm and 340 nm and employ a high-NA (numerical aperture) aspherical collimating lens for precision collimation and high light throughput. A LED collimator consists of a collimating lens and a LED emitter. The LED emitter is placed at the focal plane of the collimating lens. The collimating lens thus images the LED emitter into infinity. LED collimators can be used as the light source in an illumination system. For example, LED collimators can replace the standard lamp assembly in a microscope to provide stable, intense, and fast-modulated illumination. Typically, the rest of the illumination optics will image the LED emitter onto the pupil of the imaging optics whereas the lens aperture on the collimator where intensity is uniform will be projected onto the object. In other illumination applications, similar arrangement should be made to produce uniform and efficient illumination. The LED emitters of the deep UV LCS-Series collimated LED light sources are mounted directly onto the metal base of the collimator which also features an integrated heat sink. This configuration minimizes thermal resistance between the LED emitter and the heat sink resulting in better heat dissipation. The collimating lens can be adjusted if needed for precise collimation. A locking ring fixes the lens position after adjustment. The collimators have been pre-adjusted in the factory. The LED collimators include a 1.5-meter cable with two bare-wire terminals at the end for universal LED controllers. The light sources can be driven by Mightex LED controllers or other LED controllers and current sources. WARNING: Due to low current ratings, certain Type-D deep UV LCS-Series collimated LEDs should only be controlled using the LED controllers SLA-0100-2 or SLC-FAxxIn addition to using the correct LED controllers listed above, an appropriate current range must be set according to the LED’s current rating, in order to properly protect the highly delicate deep UV LED. LED damage due to over-driving is not covered by Mightex’s product warranty.
